Yes I've had the same feeling when passing over "crack patching" on the highway... where they infill cracks with fresh dark asphalt, that certainly confused the computer.

Lol fair enough. My point is: regular cruise control has been around successfully for several decades... I would rather use that for peace of mind and ease of drive than an unreliable "Autopilot". I don't want to be anxiously anticipating the next PB situation for my entire highway driving...

I understand that works but it is unreasonable on a 10 hour highway drive to sit there on the edge of your seat with your foot hanging midair on the pedal the entire time ready to take over from a faulty AP. I just keep coming back to the same thought: why can't I just disable the AP if I want...

Yes. When driving manually the computer is not engaged and thus doesn't override whatever you are doing. So far it is strictly an AP issue for me.

Awesome, thanks for the feedback and the recommendations. I'll try the headlight fix! The fan speed adjustment buttons were before my time - I think that would help a lot. 100% agree with your final comment, I have the same thoughts haha.

Great responses, thanks! I do love being forced to take breaks and stretch. It also helps reduce my travel anxiety of trying to get where I'm going as fast as possible while eating the worst food and making the quickest stops along the way. Now I accept from the get-go that I will be stopping...

Thanks for your feedback, great perspectives. I am located in SE B.C. and that cold drive was across highway 3 in Southern Alberta and Highway 1 in Sask. I have also experience that AP wiper glitch - wish I could override the wipers to manual even when using AP... haha. You are correct about...

I couldn't agree more. I just want regular cruise control so I can drive peacefully on the highway! I would eve pay more for my insurance (and eliminate emergency braking function) just so I can stop worrying about CONSTANT PB...
