As they are now. Fitted last December with 8-10k miles on them, so no more “settling” to be done. They don’t look as pronounced as those first pics but they don’t extend past the rim edge like the OEM Hankooks. I’m fine with them based on the performance of the tyre, but hopefully that helps...

That seems a bit on the high side. I was quoted about £880 for the Pirelli SF2s (which then weren't delivered) and ended up paying £920 fitted for the CC2s back in December.

They don’t have the foam, but I definitely wouldn’t say it’s noticeable. Possibly slightly more resonance over a broken surface. Comfort is improved though, definitely feel a bit more compliant at same pressures (42psi)

Different angle of the CC2…they’re not maybe as extreme as the other picture suggested, but the Pirelli’s do seem to fit the Gemini’s better. As a tyre though, I can’t fault the Michelin. Even in the recent drier weather they are a revelation over the standard fit Hankooks

All 4 are that way, would you expect them to all be off? But agree, that photo angle does exacerbate it. I’ll take another picture but done about 500 miles on them now and no ill effects, so not overly concerned…

No. And I’ve run the same setup on past cars, but in central Scotland you’d rarely need a full winter (nor a full summer!!) so running an all season all year round makes sense for me, as I can’t be bothered with the hassle of wheel changes and tyre storage. I wouldn’t bother with an all season...

Fwiw Harry’s garage had the latest RRS in on his latest review and he made mention of how good the Pirelli scorpion all season were that the car was running. Don’t know if it’d be the same SF2 but I don’t think you can make a bad choice here.

The rim protector I’d definitely have preferred as the leading edge is very exposed now. Tyre noise with the CC2 I’d swear was less than the Hankook (it’s rated 69db I think) but hard to gauge in the wet and the Pirelli could well be better. Probably splitting hairs with both tyres, can’t go...

I found the Hankooks pretty squirrely in the current conditions and opted to swap out for Michelin CC2, I kept the 8k old Hankooks thinking there’d be plenty left in them but only about 4/4.5mm on front and 3/3.5mm on rear. I don’t rate them at all, they’ll go back on before lease is up but...

The expensive supplement is a kick in the stones, resented paying that when I had the previous X5. Not like it goes into upkeep of the roads either, but that’s opening another debate.

As has been stated above, it would be quite the departure from the norm for this to be applied retrospectively. Changes to BIK on the other hand do apply immediately, but the impact is not as bad as I feared it might be.

Hi mate - it’s the front surround (which holds the plate in) and the frame (middle section) that I need. The actual mounting plate which is fixed to the bumper looks to be fine. The frame is squashed and the front retaining plate is marked. Cheers

This - there's also one on the nose of the BMW (between or integrated into the grilles) which also allows that top down view when you're coming up to a fixed object. It's one of the areas I expected the Tesla to be on par with or better than my X5 but sadly not. I also miss the reversing assistant.

I had similar - car delivered to me on 14th April but that had been registered on 31 March and held by the lease company after an order cancellation.

Sorry mate - I chucked it when I took it off the car. Best way I can describe it though is like removing one of those hard plastic mobile phone cases, you pull back the edges in the same way and it just pops off. Mirror looks much better without it.
