Hi, i want to store energy and use at night . Because i am only using 50% of what i get from 12.6kw solar. and the rest is going to grid and they only give me credit .06kwh back... unless someone can suggest something better. i have looked at few options . they were 15-20k price tag. not worth...

Anyone has any experience with third-party battery / storage installation solution with the existing Tesla solar system (12kw panels with 7.6kw inverter) Main goal is to charge in the daytime and use it at nighttime for basic use. I cannot get Powerwal until 2023 end. Looking for plug-in place...

Originally order 36 solar panels with 2 inverters 7.6 and 3.8. Week before the installation, they called me and said they will change the solar panel to 32 instead of 36 . Because they don't have old 340 watt panel and new one are 395w. so i said ok. and original estimate was 12,142kwh. i think...

i just got my PTO week to 10 days. i am clipping everyday if i get even 1hr of sunlight

i am pushing tesla for 10kw inverter as per state law that will be ok. let's see how it goes. If they still do 10kw inverters

Solar clipping on 12.6kw system with 7.6 inverter.. Trying to talk to Tesla but they are not helping or responding, keep saying inverter system can over-drive 170% i am not sure if its worth the fight going to through court . or AG (mass Attorney general office).. any input is welcome thanks

got my PTO within 2 weeks. i did it myself . Inspection docs is the only docs needed for my PTO.

good luck with that. its hard to get PTO done fast . they are so slow.

Looks like you are local to me . I am in Lynnfiled MA . Your system looks similar to mine . I have 7.6kw inverter. You have 10kw inverter . So I may will lose more energy

@BGbreeder @DrSmile @Vines Thanks for information and i was able to get data from tesla and pvwatts .. and seems to me i will be ok with 7.6kW inverter. attached file pic of pvwatts data . Thanks and i have learned a lot in few day about solar.

i will take some pic's and update, but i looked at it lable said 7.6kw max ouput.. so i do not know why they are saying it will handle 12.6kw system. my orignal order said 2 inverters but i can not get real ans from them

I don’t think I can export to the grid yet because I don’t have the net meter in place. The Tesla guy told me first they gonna have inspection from town then electric company will come and put the net meter.

Hi Tesla solar system 12.6 kw installed today. The run the test everything is good. It will take 30-45 days for electric company to come and switch net meter. Can I just turn on the switch outside or will that be issue

So I have double checked it is a 7.6 system engineer said it will easily run up to 12.5 which would cover my solar system.

That’s correct I’ve double checked and inverter is 7.6 max output. But their engineer said to me that it covers up to 12.5. So my system should be covered. Also he mentioned something if he were to put in a 10kw inverter some kind of the state requirement causes an issue.

After talking to their engineer they say it is a 7.6 inverter. But they can run easily up to 12.5 .. So I don’t know what to say my original plan says that there’s two inverters. I don’t know should I be worried since I have 12.6kw. System

I think 395w are bit bigger

I’m supposed to have 340 watt panel but they upgraded all the panels 395w because that’s all they have for now. I am guessing it’s better numbers are the same. My system supposed to be 12.6kw. And supposed to have two inversvers. But they said they’re only putting one in Burner which is 15kw...

what is Locus Production meter . my power company wants me to ask tesla to have Locus Production meter so i can get a rebate from them. will tesla solar install this meter. my install is coming in 2 days

I Have Tesla coming on Monday to install 12.64 kw solar panels . they said they will turn of the power for 8hr. is that true will they turn of both days for 8hrs?
