Got a text from Tesla that they are planning to build and deliver my car in September. No VIN, however. I need to sell my current car first, but I’m hesitant to until I get a VIN. What’s the timeline usually like from this text to an actual VIN?

Yeah, it does really seem like the Model 3 is getting the shaft here. RWD has Chinese made batteries, LR and P are over 55k. I wonder if Tesla will lower the prices of the LR to entice buyers.

The roller coaster ride continues. Got pushed back a month. I fully expected this, given our 2021 friends are still waiting on VIN's, but still stings nonetheless. New EDD: 9/6-10/11. I assume December-ish is probably likely.

New update today. Moved up a month. Now August 5th-September 2nd.

Mine still shows May 30th as the last update date. No updates for my car have come available since I took ownership. Still sitting on 12.3.2. :(

My EDD just updated to Sept 2nd- October 10th. Not a huge shift in my favor, but the first movement I've had in in like 7 weeks.

Same. Everyone talks about being able to speak to real humans and ask questions. Never had the pleasure of that.

Seems that way, but you can't even order the mobile connector right now. They updated the page, but the option to place an order is still unavailable.

If I'm reading this right, they're out of stock on these until August. Adds more credence to the idea that this change was more about supply chain issues than "low usage data."

The mobile connector page now lists it for $200, but an interesting note on that page says a vehicles sold on or after 4/28 won’t include it. That’s different than what we’ve been hearing.

That's the thing. I don't have a delivery specialist. No one from Tesla has ever contacted me. I hate Tesla's CS through this process. :mad:

Yeah, I've been trying to get someone to actually talk to me about my purchase. Tried the chat, the national number, the local delivery center. They all seem incredibly uninformed and unwilling to help. Have asked for several call backs which I have not gotten. Customer Service is a hard job...

Have you always purchased new or have you purchased used from Tesla? And if you did purchase a few used, how did the experience differ (if at all)?

What is it about this that is so valuable to you? I'm just really curious what the appreciable benefit that the Ryzen chip is delivering to the experience.

Seems like the current wait for the M3SR+ is about 8+ months. Some people on the SR+ thread have been waiting since September of last year and have EDD’s out to Jun/July right now.

God I hope that’s true! Did you call the Sacramento or Rocklin center for that? Did you speak to any specific group there to ask these questions?

Interesting. I took a test drive of a 2022 M3 LR this morning and I had this same observation, no cars showing up around it. I didn't check the software version, but I would assume a Tesla location has their demo's on the latest.

So, I just bought a used 2020 M3 SR+ off of Tesla’s website (white/black, aero, no FSD). Only has 10k miles and was about $2k cheaper than new. Just felt if the new one wasn’t going to arrive by the original window, we couldn’t wait—so, I jumped on this used one that popped up tonight. Figure...

The website has shows a delivery ETA for my exact configuration that is sooner than my EDD right now. That bothers me immensely.

Looking at the delivery tracker spreadsheet, it seems like deliveries of the M3 SR+ to anyone who ordered after September of 2021 absolutely cratered. Makes one wonder. 🧐

This spreadsheet makes me sad. If you filter on M3 SR+ deliveries for any orders placed since 10/1/2021 (USA only), there have been a total of 3 delivered. A lot of people just waiting and waiting and waiting (or not updating the spreadsheet).

Hmmm....praying this is only for new orders....or they give us a discount/voucher?

As someone also in Sacramento with a more recent order date, your experience scares me greatly.
