Took delivery today. A nearly flawless car. Was a little bit dirty from sitting outside all day, wiped most of it off and didn't find any scratches. A seemingly very slight mis-alignment on the trunk top trim (which might actually be fixed by adjusting the rubber stoppers inside the trunk lid)...

Getting a bit antsy...VIN assigned on 8/4 with EDD of 8/16-19. I called the DC on 8/5 and they said the car is already on the truck headed to the DC. Haven't heard anything since about scheduling delivery. I can't imagine it takes that long to get it shipped by trailer from Texas. Still hoping...

Even worse as I've seen LR orders without FSD from as late as March getting matched in Texas. There's hardly any consistency in wait times.

EDD pushed back a few days, but shortened. Now 8/21-9/25. Hopefully it pushes up once this EOQ rush is over. Was at Tyco a few days ago and it was packed with cars waiting to take delivery.

with rates going to trash by the time I take delivery, I'm gonna opt to pay cash so that's one less issue to worry about. Does Tesla Insurance only take effect once you take delivery? I might actually start with Tesla Insurance and shop around afterwards depending on how the safety score factors...

oh I don't even have a VIN yet. just commenting on these delivery issues since they're probably holding up the rest of us still waiting for VIN assignment with capacity issues and all.

Any update? Sucks if those cars are still sitting on the lot waiting for parts and reducing delivery capacity. Hell I wouldn't mind taking one of those cars as long as it gets fixed relatively soon.

at least they aren't stopping deliveries...seems like it'll be reduced capacity til those cars get fixed and delivered :confused:

funding got snubbed from the budget....VA won't get anything on the state side until Dems win control of the governorship and the house of delegates.
