Wiper Blade Replacement Tesla Model Y

Comes out to be around $51 shipped to my door here in Edmonton. Super thank you!

Pic request: 275/40 tire on 20" Inductions (Michelin Pilot AS4)

Not Inductions but this is my winter setup - 275/40R20 Nokian Hakkapelliita R5s on 20" TSW Pescara bronze wheels.

    Buying a Model Y soon! Wheels/tires?

I sold my 21" Ubers and got 21" forged wheels that weigh 10 lbs lighter than the Ubers. Regardless If they're open-faced, I still get about 8-10% efficiency with this setup compared to the OEM Model Y Performance wheel.

Planning a Road Trip & Cutting it Close

I have done Edmonton-Kelowna which is a 2200 kms (1367 mi) roundtrip twice already and have not had any issues with charging nor I try and maximize my efficiency (I rock 21" wheels during the Summer). No need to worry about it - just plug your destination in the Tesla Navigation and it will do...

    From Y to Audi e-tron: a Comparison

ok gotcha. Before going with the Y, I briefly considered the E-Tron as well as the Ionia 5 but I guess my very good experience with the test drive and the chance of owning a Tesla is far too great to disregard.

    From Y to Audi e-tron: a Comparison

I replaced my '15 Sorento SX with the MYP, so feel free to ask me anything. I've had the ICE for 7 years and at 115K before I sold it. Very dependable SUV which was a tank in snow if you're equipped with proper snow tires. Bulletproof AWD system and decent on gas even having a v6 at 291 HP...

How to match tint? Is windshield worth it?

I would say in most states in US and provinces in Canada, it's illegal. Here in my city though the only time you'll get a ticket for tint is usually an add-on violation if you've been pulled over. I have it and imo I think it's more of a frowned-upon thing here unless it's limo tint.
  8. greatauror28

How to match tint? Is windshield worth it?

Did you mistype winshield instead of windows? I don't think anyone is suggesting to get 20% on their windshield.
  9. greatauror28

How to match tint? Is windshield worth it?

You're correct - 20% for the front windows perfect matches the back if you don't touch it. I don't recommend front tint.
  10. greatauror28

    Model Y tint pictures

I have white interior as well and I think my 20% tint matches the back widow that only have the OEM tint from Tesla. 15% for me would be too dark to see out at night.
  11. greatauror28

    Model Y tint pictures

Took a photo yesterday and this shows how matched my front and rear window tints are. Mind you, the back window is factory and the front has 20% Xpel Ceramic tint.

    Accident on 1st Day :(

IDK about you guys in Colorado but the vehicles and the (unfortunate) accidents I have had in the past, as with my relatives and family in Canada - are all reported to CarFax. They are very trustworthy source of vehicle history and information up here so I find your stance with them...

    Accident on 1st Day :(

If OP would go through a Tesla-certified bodyshop, I'm 100% sure it would be reported. There's no option of not reporting it as that touches the line regarding honesty and even fraud. If I'm buying a second-hand vehicle, I would not be happy if I discovered an accident or two that's not...

    Accident on 1st Day :(

Sorry this happened to you, OP but life isn't fair. I had a hit-and-run on my 3-week old Y last year and it took 4.5 months to repair and my insurance paid close to 5K to the shop to get it to factory condition. We never found the guy and had to pay my deductible for the Tesla to be fixed to...

    Headlight too high?

When I had an accident that left my headlights misaligned, I used this adjustment option to point them towards the road at a level I thought was good enough. After the body shop fixed my car they didn't do a good job of levelling my headlights so I went to my friend who owns a shop that does...

Model Y wipers go off when on base auto pilot after 2023.26.7 update

Many owners have been living with this since we got our Teslas. The only surefire way of avoiding the auto wiper issue is to make sure your windshield is clean af. I've recently completed a short 800 km road trip and not once the auto-wipers activated - and I did AP 90% of the time.

Sell MYP '22 for M3LR Highland?

You're doing it backwards - most sell their 3s to upgrade to the Y. You'll definitely miss the punch of acceleration the P has, not to mention the room and the higher ground clearance. Do you.

Discussion: Experiences Renting a Tesla Model 3 / Y from various companies

TIL that QR code printed in the keycard case is what syncs your profile to the rental vehicle! I wished I knew this three weeks ago when I had a Hertz rental MYLR for 11 days! I have the same experience everyone here had - using the keycard sucks big time! Good thing the Tesla was parked in a...

Review of my first EV after 10 days and the first roadtrip (2023 Model Y Performance)

Nice review! I'm just going to comment about the AP nag - it varies depends on your current speed. Doing 40? It will nag you every 10 seconds. Doing 70? maybe after 30 seconds. For the slow to accelerate in stop-and-go traffic, what was the distance you set it as? I find that it does this when...

Model Y Performance - what are you guys at Wh/mi?

Here's mine: 196 wh/km translates to 315 wh/mi. 21" Vossen forged wheels on OEM Michelins. Odometer shows 16,750 kms now.

Can you post here the certificate of the company and the results of the test documents?
  25. greatauror28

Tesery "Forged Zero G style" wheels seem inexpensive. Not forged?

They won't have these because they're just selling forged wheels that are MIC. Better to cut the middleman and order directly from the source. Saves you at least $1000.

MYP 21" Square Wheel Setup - 275 vs 255 wide tires

You're correct - I have Michelins so it's actually just 0.7" bigger than OEM for the fronts but just 0.2" in the rear which won't make any noticeable difference. Tesla OEM

MYP 21" Square Wheel Setup - 275 vs 255 wide tires

My MYP winter setup is 275/40R20 square and I verified that it almost has the same diameter with the OEM setup. I have zero experience rubbing whatsoever and I've used this setup for 6 whole months last winter. Mind you, I'm using aftermarket wheels and Nokia R5 EV tires.
  28. greatauror28

Model Y Performance 21" Tires - Larger, More Comfortable Fitment Details and Experience - Michelin AS4's (With Photos)

I wonder if OP already had checks on on the steering rack, because I presume the meatier and wider tires would be heavier than OEM. Factory designed and calibrated the steering assembly to work with OEM wheels and tires as well as their total weight so I think OP would have premature wear in the...

Nice ride! Be aware that the added weight in the fronts will contribute to premature wear of the front steering assembly as it was only designed for the lighter 255 tires and lighter 9.5" wheels.

Snow Tires vs All Weather - Any Thoughts?

I'm going to be on the other side of the fence here and suggest a proper winter tire set for the Y. Our Model Y is a pretty hefty vehicle almost approaching 2.5T and braking is one of the most crucial part of winter driving. Sure, it can accelerate but will it break early enough for you given...

21" Uberturbines Square set up on a LR MY

Just a heads up OP that I read somewhere that putting fatter tires and heavier wheels out front of the Tesla would cause premature wear and tear to the whole front steering assembly as obviously they are turning heftier wheel -tire combo. I, too am using 275-wide tires but only during winter...

Did you purposely ordered the wheels+tires for the rear to poke out? 28ET is already aggressive, let alone using a 285 wheel width. Just curious.

    Replacement wheel covers

I cannot comprehend the unhealthy affinity to ugly wheel covers, like isn't the Tesla OEM one enough? If I have Geminis I'll just remove them - looks better that way. To heck with the 2% range hit.

    Model Y Performance Wheel Specs

Yeah, this is crazy. I highly doubt that guy's aftermarket wheel/tire setup caused this. I ran 6500 kms with my 20x10 ET40 275 setup for the whole 6 wintry months and I didn't notice anything strange nor had any issue whatsoever. If anything, the steering felt lighter and of course suspension...

2022 MYP Steering rack Failure. Tesla DENYING warranty coverage due to aftermarket wheels 20x10 with 275 40 20 set up

As someone who ran 20x10 ET40 on 275 winter tires square setup last winter for 6500 kms, I doubt this issue was caused by the AF tire/wheel setup. Sure, the tires are 20mm wider than OEM but the wheels are at least 10 lbs lighter per corner - so that negates the difference in weight and stress...

Vendor Model Y Alpharex Nova Series LED Projector Headlights exclusively available @ T Sportline

Tesla's OEM headlights are unique which makes it its signature appearance. This Alpharex headlight looks like it's trying hard to copy Acura's jewel headlights and sorry but that's not very Tesla-ish in my humble opinion. Also, the Matrix headlight has a projector as well so maybe you're just...

Vendor Model Y Alpharex Nova Series LED Projector Headlights exclusively available @ T Sportline

I don't think it keeps the factory projector. And website has a disclaimer that it cannot have matrix capability once Tesla deployed the update. I guess the target market for this one are people that want the claimed brighter output albeit the manual adjustment/controls and the Teslux customers...

Vendor Model Y Alpharex Nova Series LED Projector Headlights exclusively available @ T Sportline

If these aren't brighter than OEM (which is already plenty bright) the drawbacks of manual adjustability, needing constant 12v power and probably insurance issues might not make it worth the high price. Also for matrix users, once Tesla pushes the update for it then more things to miss out on...
