Drove down there and confirm its at Marketfair next to Hungry Jacks. Tested it out and worked fine on my MG4 using my RFID card.

If it's where the map says it's a pretty good location. Amenities and similar distance from the highway to the superchargers.

I don't know how long this site has been open but just noticed it in the Evie app. Says Edmondson Park but location is Campbelltown NSW. Not far from the superchargers. I'll take a drive down there when I can to confirm.

Yeah I think the Sydney to QLD route is where they've fallen behind the most with infrastructure. I'm heading from Sydney to Surfers on Monday myself and not looking forward to the queues.

As I sit here on this lovely 34 degrees early spring day, I think to myself maybe we should stop messing around and focus fully on reducing emissions. EVs are only part of the puzzle but they are part of the puzzle.

Up until now I mostly charge to 80% as well. Due to the lack of charging infrastructure in Aus at present I often find charging to 90% or 100% doesn't get me to another charger anyway.

I currently charge once or twice a week as I'm concerned about the wear on the connectors if I plug in more often. To keep my charge between 50% and 75% I will have to charge more often. What's everybody's point of view wear on the connectors?

Definitely doing that. Owned my M3 lr for just on a year now. Done 20k klms. Road trips to Tamworth, Coffs Harbour, Adelaide, Narooma and Wagga Wagga. Never thought I'd ever own a car this good.

The general advice for NMC batteries seems to be only change to 90%-100% when necessary for trips. This includes Tesla themselves so posts like the above from Elon causes confusion. To make matters worse now they have changed their advice for daily use.

I've noticed with the latest software update that the daily charging recommendation on the screen is 50% to 80%. Before it was up to 90%. The Tesla charging FAQ says plug your car in as much as possible whereas much advice online recommends only plug in when necessary and keep the battery...

The gate was open during daylight hours but locked after dark with access only for hotel guests via keycard. Pity they couldn't find some space in the club carpark. Reception didn't know how they were going to work it either. Can't see this working unless they make changes to the carpark.

As I walked past this morning a Tesla was backing in so I opened my app. Surprised to see almost instantaneously the app updated to show the charger was in use.

I think when people don’t want to accept reality they grab any bit of negativity they can, whether true or not, and run with it.

I agree. The endgame is to slow the warming of the planet we all live on. Politics needs to be taken out of the equation but regrettably I doubt that’s going to happen.

Maybe put “only” underneath Tesla so its “handicapped Tesla only“. Not perfect still but some Tesla haters might agree.

Yeah I agree the undercut strategy going South is also in my thinking. By the end of this year the charging options are certainly looking much better. Hope they improve the reliability but I guess more Charging options will help get around that issue to an extent.

I live In Campbelltown and maybe the only time I’ll use the chargers here is in an emergency situation where I need a quick charge to go somewhere. Hopefully that never eventuates. Just spoke to a Tesla tech at Campbelltown. He thinks it was just some wrong settings and once confirmed they can switch it back on. Nice guy and apparently he had to drive back from Young. Gundagai is up again apparently. He said they sent somebody from Melbourne for that site. I'm impressed...

I just walked past. The lights were out and no sign of any Tesla reps but two guys were painting the space markings. The Club was busy as with cars queuing to get into the car park. Looked more like a Saturday night then Thursday morning. Definitely be a good day for wiggling in.
