I've driven both on the track with track mode. The M3P is definitely faster, but not by much. My best lap times in both were separated by about one second.

Ordered my MYP in March of last year, took delivery in June. Paid approx 10k more than I would have now and no tax credit of course. Current trade in value is about 42k with only 1500 miles on the car :/ How many others are in the 10k club? lol

I hate to be the glass half empty guy here - but the fact that Elon said "this is harder than it sounds" makes me think we won't be getting it very soon or likely at all. They obviously found some kind of stumbling block along the way that they are having issues overcoming.

I could care less about making a profit, but I'd like to be able to trade my car in without taking a 15-20k loss. Resale value was baked into the current prices that people are paying and it just isn't commensurate anymore. Not even close.

Now that resale value is in the toilet, yes I do regret the purchase. I feel like that was one of the biggest advantages that Tesla had over the market.

Who said anything about forever? We're talking about a 10-12k drop in valuation over the last 3-4 weeks.

So for the hell of it, I threw my new MYP (400 miles) into Carvana to see what they would offer, and was shocked to see that they only came back with 62k... It looks like the days of flipping for a profit might be over (and I locked mine in two or three price bumps ago).

I'd be shocked if we don't see a power bump and track mode by the end of the year. Competition is closing the gap at a rapid pace.

I'm trading in my MYP as soon as these are available. It's sad that Tesla has neglected the Y and allowed the competition to catch up so quickly.

So far we've had claims here that the Austin LR has Matrix headlights (they don't), 4680 (they don't) and an upgraded processor (they don't). I guess we can blame Tesla for their lack of clarity at the end of the day.

Price has nothing to do with it. It is a performance variant and thus is more likely to have a jarring ride. I had an $90k X3M prior to my MYP and it literally rattled my bones. You either get it or you don't...

You're essentially comparing a bottle of Turtle Wax ceramic spray to a multi-year ceramic coating. I'm a licensed detailer with access to CP, Graphene, et al. and I can tell you there is a big, BIG difference. It is all in the eye of the beholder though, so what works for you may not work for...

I don't think there is much of an argument anymore. These are coming. The absence of the MYP is interesting, but there could be other factors at hand there. That said, all indications are that these will be identical to Fremont, so I don't see why people would be up in arms.

Drove a Mach E GT w/ Perf Pack for about a week and I thought it was average at best. The UI is horrendously slow and unintuitive. The drive is ok, but there is a sharp power cut that comes around 80mph that literally almost jolts the car to a stop. I could go on, but I to say it is better...

The Y is 5 star crash tested with the third row. Saying it is a "safety issue" is at best silly and at worst negligent. Please don't spread misinformation.

I'd gladly pay for it as an additional add on, Those who just want the standard Performance can simply forgo it. Also, to say "this is the wrong car" for Performance + is kind of silly. The Performance CUV segment is one of, if not the fastest growing segment out there right now.

I have a sneaking suspicion that we will never see the 4680s in the Performance models. We can talk about raw material scarcity, logistics, etc. but something clearly didn't go as planned here. Or maybe... the plan all along was to only have the 4680 sit in the SR/LR tier?

And it's still significantly slower than the MYP :) I agree though, they have the right idea on what the actual content should be.

It has been posited before that only about 75-85% of the 2170 has been tapped. So there is definitely some room on the table, it's just a matter of how much.

Super disappointing. I switched my order from MYP to M3P for this reason alone.

For those on the east coast that received VINs this past weekend (like me), realistically what is the earliest that we could see our cars? My delivery window in currently 6/12-6/16 and I have travel scheduled on 6/15, so hoping that's not an issue.

Whoa, yeah definitely a reject or cancellation. I received my VIN on Saturday and my delivery window doesn't even start until 6/12, lol.

We all knew that the competition would eventually start to close the gap. What will Tesla's response be? Hard to say, but they seem content.

This was black/black. The whole underside of the car was torn up and scraped, I assume coming off the carrier. Front bumper would have needed a complete repaint and all of the underbody trim panels replaced.
