I think it's just a mistake. Although Tesla have shown the EV rebate in the breakdown, my understanding is they don't apply for the EV rebate on your behalf or deduct it from your invoice in WA anyway, so you would have to claim the rebate yourself after purchase. IMO, I don't think it matters...

That's pretty much what happened to me with the model Y I ordered. And yes, you don't really have a choice - take the car allocated or start over.

Just a matter of personal taste, isn't it? I like them both, but my eldest (16) really hates the model 3, and when I notice them on the road, he always screws up his face and informs me they're an "old person" car. 🙄

Yes, I ordered just after you on the 17th June (Perth) and was allocated a vin in September. My delivery window is 5 - 17 November Tesla allocation is as unpredictable as ever

IMO, it's completely up to you what you choose to do with the car you ordered. As you say, dealing with Tesla often does involve a big leap of faith, and if at the end of it, you decide the car doesn't tick all your boxes, then I see no problem with selling it. Do what's right for yourself and...
