In MN, where I am, it is: Looking online a 2020 Model Y LR with 9,000 miles on it is worth $65K - $70K. I have no idea how much to expect for salvaged value, I looked on https://www.copart.com/ and saw one sell for $25K and another sitting at $16.5K with a few hours left. Anyone have ideas...

Update: They are taking the car apart with the insurance person now. The rep from the collision place said it was a lot of structural damage. My biggest concern continues to be it being just shy of totaled (really don't want a car with $40K-50K in repaired damage). Should hear from insurance...

Good point, used the wrong term. I am guessing structural damage in the rear would be to the rear casting? It will be interesting how much damage it took.

On the insurance front. Got official word that they found the other driver at fault. So should have a rental early next week. Progressive only does an "intermediate" car, but I petitioned for a small SUV as I am pretty tall and need to have space for kids in the back. Should hear back today...

Also of note: to add some detail to one of my above questions. Insurance rep said that I need to submit photos from all sides of the carseats along with photos of the tags to get reimbursed. Will have to drive out to shop to pickup at some point.
