How many people are having connectivity issues?

I believe it's not just MCU1 cars affected. Model 3 and Y are too. In any case, I'd probably just buy a cheap mobile hotspot and put a Lebara SIM in it before I'd consider spending £1400 on the MCU2 upgrade. At the moment I just always put my mobile in hotspot mode when I get in the car. I never...

4 wheel alignment in South Yorkshire

Just wanted to update this thread for anyone stumbling across it in the future. I ended up taking it to Tanvic Tyre and Service Centre in Worksop. I was grateful that anyone would take on the job and save me a substantial amount of money compared to Tesla. However, it did turn out to be a bit of...

How many people are having connectivity issues?

It seems to have got worse lately. I don't do a lot of driving but it's happened 8 times in the last 3 weeks. So I raised another service request to keep the pressure on Tesla to fix it. If anyone else uses TeslaMate, that's a really easy way to see when data connectivity is lost. If you view...

4 wheel alignment in South Yorkshire

I used to take my previous car to Dexel but they won't do it. Same goes for ATS. I'd be reluctant to take it to Kwik-Fit unless someone could convince me they knew what they were doing! I'll keep ringing round.

4 wheel alignment in South Yorkshire

I've just had a few suspension parts replaced by my local garage and so could do with the alignment checking. Tesla want £273 which seems rather pricey but a lot of local garages don't touch Teslas. Something about the lane departure system. Does that ring any bells with anyone? So does anyone...

How many people are having connectivity issues?

Indeed I thought it might have been resolved but I lost connectivity on a very short local drive which I know never goes out of mobile signal range. Seems it's still not fixed. Should we all reopen our service requests? Has there been an official announcement that they believe it's resolved?

Failed Rear Lower Control Arm / Service Bulletin SB-19-31-001

Strangely enough, the algorithm recommended that video from Delphi to me long before I discovered these threads about control arm failures. It seems there are a lot of third parties manufacturing replacement parts and quite frankly I'd prefer to take my chances with any of them given what Tesla...

Another front suspension control arm failure

I'm hoping we can come up with a definitive list of suspension parts that should be replaced if they are still original. This post might be just that but I'm not sure. As can see from my follow up post on that thread, I'm replacing FR SUSP AFT LINK ASSY (1027351-00-E) and RR SUSP INTEGRAL LINK...

    Rear lower control arm, broken!

So can this be considered a definitive list of suspension components that should be replaced if they haven't already? My friend's garage (not a Tesla SC) has diagnosed that the front lower offside arm (the front most one that the shocker bolts through) and also the rear offside front most arm...

2016 MS 85D losses LTE signal, have to reboot MCU

For anyone finding this thread, it might be a UK issue. Found this thread which covers my problem.

How many people are having connectivity issues?

Finally! Other people reporting the same issue I've had for months that's been driving me crazy. I posted about it earlier here. So do we think the issue is when moving between different networks? I'm guessing Tesla utilise more than 1 network to give better coverage. FYI this issue is in a...

2016 MS 85D losses LTE signal, have to reboot MCU

Thanks for the reply. Is there a newer modem release available for MCU1? If 5G were an option, I'd almost be tempted to try that on the off-chance it might work.

2016 MS 85D losses LTE signal, have to reboot MCU

Hello, I've got a 2016 MS 85D with MCU1, the 2G/3G/4G modem and premium connectivity. Based in England for reference. Occasionally the MCU appears to lose mobile signal, even in places I don't expect it to (i.e. highly-populated areas). I've never actually noticed the signal indicator dropping...

    Rear doors water leak

Just wanted to thank you for posting your solution. I had the same problem, I suspect after a previous bad repair from a broken window. Hopefully it's now resolved by putting as much sealant along that edge as possible!

    Battery Fuse Replacement 2016 Model S 90D

Assuming we all have the fuse with the battery built in, I suppose it could be a case of them all reaching a certain age which triggers the warning, rather than the actual health of the part.

    Battery Fuse Replacement 2016 Model S 90D

This is bizarre; how come so many of us are suddenly getting this error all of a sudden? Software update? I got the message on my 2016 MS 85D yesterday. I've raised a service request but not reply as yet. As far as I'm concerned this should be covered under the battery warranty. I'm in the UK...

Harsh, crashy ride on 2016 MS 85D with 21"

I'm picking up a set of Cyclone wheels this weekend so I'm now looking at what rubber to put on them. My starting point is the Michelin Pilot Sport 5 because ATS are doing a cracking deal on a full set at the moment. But given my top priority is improving the ride quality and ideally a quieter...

Harsh, crashy ride on 2016 MS 85D with 21"

Thanks for your input. Currently running them at 42 PSI. Haven't experimented with adjusting pressures, that's just how they came. They're not the run-flat version fortunately.

Harsh, crashy ride on 2016 MS 85D with 21"

Ah I didn't spot that, thanks that's helped massively!

Harsh, crashy ride on 2016 MS 85D with 21"

Thanks. I did try searching but all I found were threads complaining about the M3's harsh ride and how the S with air suspension was much better. Don't suppose you have any links to relevant threads?

Harsh, crashy ride on 2016 MS 85D with 21"

Hello, I recently bought a 2016 UK Model S 85D with smart air suspension and Pirelli P Zero tyres on 21" turbine wheels. It's got nearly 90k miles on the clock but overall in good condition. I'm finding the ride pretty harsh on poor surfaces, which unfortunately accounts for most of the roads...

    2016 Model S 85D boot liner recommendations

Hi there, Just bought a 2016 Model S 85D from my boss and first thing I need to quire is a decent boot liner with a lip. I've seen loads on eBay at very fair prices but just wondered if anyone had any recommendations. Would also like a liner for the sub-boot (if that's what it's called) and...
