My invoice also days 28th September. App and website saying 24th. After a brief chat about how silly this was with Tesla, they did say that yes... It is silly but also confirmed that it just means that the 28th is the end of my pickup window.

I also sorted mine. £780 with direct line. They dropped it from £1200 when they realised I had home insurance with them too. 🤔

I'm cash.. and have paid £10 whole English pounds. Got reg this morning.

Yes mine has also vanished.. just states the date and time now. Also noticed that the delivery time on the invoice says 27th September.. but the account and app are saying 24th, which is what I went for. 🤔

Same here. I gave them a tenner just as a test to make sure the money is going to to right place. Sure enough it showed up in the account about an hour later... Along with a message effectively saying - ey! That aint enough! More! 😂

Does anybody know how the vin allocations are actually physically done? I mean there are obviously a few thousand vehicles on a boat, all with a vin and no owner. Kinda like the dog home. Does some bloke go around the boat with a Tesco scanner and beep them? I mean, how's it done? Anyone? 🤔😁

Whenever you like. But there's not point in panicking over it at all. Try and thing about something else.. that will be the exact time a Tesla falls in your lap.. figuratively of course. 😁

With an EDD like that. I would go ahead and assume that your boat hasn't left yet.

Me: *swipe down - refresh* swipe down - refresh* swipe down - refresh* Wife: "What are you doing"? Me: "oh just trying to force load Christmas".

Your delivery is potentially less than 30 days away. This decision feels impulsive. Hold on this Q, then in the unlikely event you don't get a vin in the next week or so... Then it makes more sense to have a re-think.

Tesla, in their infinite wisdom, have obviously tried to be clever with EDD algorithms which are most likely based on quite a large number of factors. But these days with so much uncertainty with parts and shutdowns and such - EDDs are basically.... 🥴🤒

Here's a quick suggestion.. and for free too! Take pictures of the actual car! Not random product shots of what 'could' be on/in the car. There's 2 shots of what I believe is the car (grey) and that's it. The rest is quite literally... Nonsense. Hope that helps. ⚡👊

I honestly feel like they can make that up in Q3. There is an absolute crap tonne of MYs being produced since the factory updates. Chin up. My gut is still September.

Exactly. Though while they don't build to order, they do know the percentage of combinations and the factory will output the same combination percentages based on the current orders. If that makes any sense?

One of the only certainties of the tesla ordering experience is that your EDD will change.

Seeing as MY has been shut down for a week or so and they have solely been concentrating on M3, this makes perfect sense... to me anyway :)

Well, I've just returned from a lovely chat with the lovely Emma, who kindly informed me that the next shipment is penciled in to arrive in the UK mid august. (They are aiming for a big Q3 apparently). was nice to hear, but we will see.
