Speed cameras gone after EU-2024.2 maps update

Speed cameras were enabled in Holidays Update. Unfortunately it appears they have gone after EU-2024.2 maps update. Gone. Dead. Done. No more signals on route. No more visual speed camera icons. Several users have reported same issue at Spain Tesla Club forum. Any other EU country with the same...

    Speed Camera Model X

Had speed cameras for about one month (Model 3 Performance). Since maps update (EU-2024.2) no more speed camera are present. Gone.

12V battery charging, voltage limits, capacity, etc.

Living in Florida for sure temperature is not an issue. :-) However here in Spain and Madrid in particular we have cold winters. So, temperatures under 0C (-32F) are usual. My car does not rest outside, however all winters we have a family trip to the mountains (ski) and it's frequent to reach...

12V battery charging, voltage limits, capacity, etc.

Just for fun. If I finally test this battery, the first thing will be take a look inside. What it's incredible nowadays is that lead batteries with all associated problems (low lifespan, low discharge, environment unfriendly, questionable economics) are still in the market with no signs to be...

Sodium, in fact. More improbable if not impossible. What it's possible is to get stuck. :)

12V battery charging, voltage limits, capacity, etc.

Reviving this thread, I've looking for a drop-in replacement for Telsa 12V battery. First I was reviewing Ohmmu battery that is insanely expensive here in Europe due to shipping cost (and also in USA). So, I started investigating about some alternatives. None of them convinced me: - LFP...

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

New one. 9 months with around 18.000km. So new pack is 35.000km and one and a quarter year old. It was around 490km this winter. Now in summer it has gone down to upper 70s (478km). And NFP is at 76kWh. Started dropping as soon as temperatures recovered here in Spain. In April scaled up to...

    Problems with “energy app”?

Same problem here. Model 3 Performance 2021, sw version 2023.6.8. Fixed by switching wheels as discussed in this thread. Thanks to all for this info!

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

    - Age in months of the car or purchase/manufacturing date. 20 months (well, 12 months since battery was replaced in April 22) - Average temperature for the car during a year 18 degrees - Regular charging SOC. 55% last six months. Previously 70% -End of the day SOC, before next charge. 30%...

    The usual Battery Degradation Topic

Thank you, mate. Second one is my Bible since I got an M3P (NCA based). ;-)

    The usual Battery Degradation Topic

No Aakee. Do you have the link to this paper? It's really interesting what you posted here and I would like to read the full paper. For NCA I got it, but not this comparative that for me is really cool. As always your posts are pure gold! Thank you!

Model 3 SR+ LFP Battery Range, Degradation, etc Discussion

Hi everybody. Some hints about LFP batteries after testing for 9 months my 55kWh LFP Model 3 SR+. Unfortunately I'm replacing this model with a 82kWh NCA Model 3 Performance, and so I won't post any more in this thread. By the way, I'm fan of LFP batteries. In general, very happy with them...

Model 3 SR+ LFP Battery Range, Degradation, etc Discussion

My experience this past weekend with my 55kWh M3 SR+. My car usually has a range of 411km, NFP 52.4 and 2.4 buffer. During a small trip around Madrid I depleted battery till 6%. I left for one night at this level. Next day I started charging at 11kW. Just when starting charging I realize full...

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

My bet is that the calculation is done by using projected mileage (EPA) and multiplying by EPA declared consumption.

In two weeks I will test this way after my holiday season (I'm in Italy right now).

I think that - SOC is without buffer. - SOC expected is with buffer. At least calculation matches exactly.

Very interesting the "elastic buffer". I think it's not my case since my energy buffer is stuck at 2.4 kWh. But will check regularly.

MASTER THREAD: 2021 Model 3 - Charge data, battery discussion etc

WOW... this is too much!!! Where this info comes from?? The discrepancy between energy consumed and energy pushed into battery clearly does not match. Something is wrong there. As you say, it can be BMS (I recharge weekly unless I've a trip, twice at 100%, twice at 80-90%) or some changes...

MASTER THREAD: 2021 Model 3 - Charge data, battery discussion etc

Same calculation but assuming NFP in SMT excludes buffer.... I suspect that in a recent update Tesla (or SMT) has changed the value of "Nominal Full Pack" to exclude buffer. Of course, this is only a theory. Based in what? Several cases from several sources: - From Bjorn Nyland in a video...

MASTER THREAD: 2021 Model 3 - Charge data, battery discussion etc

Today I've repeated the experiment going from 4 to 100%. It's slightly different because I recharged at home at 7.2Kw ( 220 x 32A ). These are my values.... SMT says I've pushed 44.6kWh since TeslaFi says 50.81. So, charge efficiency is far away from what TeslaFi says. On the other side...

MASTER THREAD: 2021 Model 3 - Charge data, battery discussion etc

Just impressive. Impossible to refute your arguments! LFP 55kWh must be quite similar if not equal to LFP 60kWh. Charging station pushed 50.something kWh. No roundtrips.

MASTER THREAD: 2021 Model 3 - Charge data, battery discussion etc

Hmmm... Makes sense. If kWh is calculated form range then of course it won't match. I can assure that I've wasted 50 kWh that is what charger has shown at the end of session. But net energy pushed into battery packet is what Teslafi has told me. Next time I will check it with SMT in order to...

MASTER THREAD: 2021 Model 3 - Charge data, battery discussion etc

Good evening and nice to meet you. My first post in TMC since I own my 2021 M3 LFP 55kWh Today I've played a simple experiment when going to my office since I'm able to charge there. I lowered SOC to a minimum value (10%) in order to check battery capacity and some questions have arisen...
