Is this bad?

No curb rash protection… 😬. I had them powder coated at a wheel repair shop close by. It was expensive… $250/wheel… but that seems like the going rate in my area. I plastidipped my last car’s wheels and it looked great for a few years, but then it started peeling and I never bothered to fix it...

Black 2022 Model Y LR with satin black powder coated Gemini wheels. I didn’t find many pics of this when I was deciding (none on a black car), so I thought I would share my results.

It looks like they cover the wheel lip, which is nice if you don’t want to paint\modify the wheel itself.

What did you do the wheels? Is that Plasti-dip? Looks pretty great!
