Adding FSD and then removing it before delivery worked for me

I just took delivery of a Fremont build. How would I check that?

Car came nearly perfect. Only 1 issue was with the 3rd row left seat. The plastic piece under the carpet got bent and is making it difficult to fold and unfold the seats.

I added FSD 7/29 got my VIN 7/31. When I added it, it was still old pricing 10k

It doesn’t always accelerate EDD, but it did for me. Also, most people are able to remove FSD before delivery but some people have mentioned that you can’t remove unless you update to current pricing (wasn’t the case for me).

Yeah I only had the option of home delivery

Can’t the sales people just keep track of the deliveries they’re getting and when their OD was and put it in a spreadsheet

It will probably show up if you have your SA reset payment method so your profile doesn’t show as Complete

I know a guy who still has his Remove FSD button even after VIN assignment but my situation was different. Since I had previously been assigned a VIN and completed my insurance steps I wasn’t able to edit design myself anymore. So I just called my SA and he put a request in and it got removed...

Scheduled delivery and removed FSD

I initially ordered the car with FSD. Two months later I wanted to remove FSD but there was no Edit Design button. Had to call SA to do it. Don’t think I’ve ever had the edit design button

I only have a View Design button. When I click on it, it says contact customer service to modify your order 🤷🏻‍♂️ But this has always been the case for me even before I had a VIN

Seeing @EVY22 get one without FSD is making me wonder if it’s a coincidence. I don’t have the Remove FSD button. I didn’t even have the button before the VIN. Going to call SA after scheduling delivery

Seems like all 3 of us who just got a VIN were white on white. I wonder if I even needed to add FSD

Added FSD yesterday and EDD went from a 4 week window to a 10 day window. From 8/11-9/8 To 8/3-8/13

It’s a near guarantee push back or up? My window was 7/28 -8/25. On the morning of 7/29 it got pushed back to 8/11 - 9/8. Added FSD today and I noticed that I do not have a Remove FSD button. Kind of worried…

Will update this thread if I get a vin. I checked the Order spreadsheet and there was 1 entry on there that was exactly identical to my order and that person received their VIN in May 2022 and their order date was March 2022. Only difference was that they had FSD…

Funny cause if you go to the order page now, white seats will move your estimated date sooner. Any option will I think

Does the SC have any insights usually?

I think calling is hit or miss. Sometimes when I call I get someone that just tells me what my EDD is and that it should be delivered during that time with no other insights.

Don't think so, I've seen people with my exact configuration who ordered 2 months after me get their VIN. It just seems like there isn't really a "place in line"

I’ve had a 2 week window that got pushed to 4 weeks. Happened like 3 days before the window start

Yeah hopefully Austin frees up Fremont to make 7 seaters. Just looking at the recent VINs in this thread seems like they started making batches.

They started producing LR’s at Austin with the 2170 batteries

Similar config as mine and similar EDD as well.

Just got a trade-in text, but I’m skeptical since other peoples 7 seaters are getting pushed back.

My EDD did the opposite of yours. Mine was July 19th now it's July 28-Aug 25. I don't understand how their queue system works

How are you guys getting such quick turn around?!? I've had my order in since Oct 28...

Could you turn it on for mobile but have it default to off so that other users can have it as an option?
