    [UK] 2024.2

I've now just re-read and realised it's Highland only. My day is ruined and disappointment immeasurable. Should've taken the Elon pinch of salt more seriously

Genuinely a bit hyped about adaptive matrix headlights. Notateslaapp says "availability unknown in UK". Guess it comes with the usual Elon pinch of salt

    Autopilot behaviour in strong wind

This is pretty much my experience. I really want someone to drive in some kind of super long wind tunnel and see at what point it taps out

    Autopilot behaviour in strong wind

I did, car was fine. More just wanted to know what the expected behaviour of very strong wind is, if someone else has experienced it disengaging etc. Half the battle of people saying AP / other features are rubbish are they don't understand expected behaviour and limitations.. It's a bit...

    Autopilot behaviour in strong wind

Hi all. Couldn't find a clear answer in the forum hence the thread. Given the recent strong winds from storm Isha, I was wondering if anyone has any experience of what autopilot does in severe winds they could share? I was driving home and battling the wind with the steering wheel, wondering...

    2023 Holiday Update

Think one of the best changes I've noticed is how improved reviewing sentry / dashcam clips are now. It actually starts playing from where you click, is super smooth, and you can jump along quickly without issue. Best bit is now you can actually see towards the end of the clip without it...

    2023 Holiday Update

Think I've finally realised what these guys are on about with the auto wiper improvement! The neural net has clearly thought really long and hard and realised the auto wipers are bollocks, so enables you to turn them off while on autopilot now!

    Wheel hubcaps from Tessories?

I bought some "asixxsix" 18 inch hubcap covers for model 3 on Amazon. They were very similar to a pair I bought from another store. Haven't left any marks yet, and fairly cheap!

    2023 Holiday Update

Sure it's been posted here before, but anyone else noticed the updated sentry /Teslacam notification dot (green/pause/red etc)? Seeking through videos also seems to be much better!

Not sure if anyone ever posted a picture of the elusive fleet south, but just stopped there to charge Stalls are just on the right as you enter. V2s as far as I can tell. Sorry if already posted lots. Given their history I thought a lot of people would be thinking pics or it didn't happen!

    [uk specific] Software 2023.32

Not sure if anyone has experienced similar on 32.6 but thought might see My car is on 32.6 and since update I've not been able to wake it remotely to unlock, preheat, or view cameras etc. As soon as I get to the car and touch/open and manually wake all features on the app are accessible. Only...

    So… Highland is out…

Only thing I'm interested in is ventilated seats.. and hopefully that someone will make some sort of retrofit for my 2022 with stalks and parking sensors! 😂

    HyperVolt Charge Points [megathread]

This is exactly what I was hoping for as I'd read a few posts. I had firmware from 2021 "which should update itself" but without a stable connection it was unable to. Finally removing the dongle and using the RPI4 own board seems to have fixed. I'm even getting much better strength from my...

    HyperVolt Charge Points [megathread]

Here's a pictorial guide: turn off fuse at CU, remove 4 outer casing screws, slide off cover, unclip LED panel by popping it out, locate and unplug the usb WiFi adapter. Reconnect panel and screws in reverse. Voila - fixed.

    HyperVolt Charge Points [megathread]

Not sure if already posted but here's my take on connectivity issues Fix hypervolt WiFi: or how I learned to stop listening to their support Have had on/off issues since install in early 2021 which have significantly deteriorated over the last month Got to a point where I assume the internal...

Imo having the perpendicular to car stand is great - if Tesla are planning to open up it means no blocking from etrons or taycans anymore as the cable can easily reach to the other side. Haven't seen one in person though.. just going off the thumbnail

French toll tags (e.g. ULYS and others) and Revolut / Starling and UK banks payment - HOW TO

Just to add to this I've used ulys with my normal starling joint account (not euro), and its worked as advertised. Set up, they accepted test payment, and now invoices have been deducted.

Checklist for travel in France - advice appreciated

Just so you know there's a Tesla hi Vis jacket in the emergency kit. I stuffed it into the glovebox as it "needs to be accessible within the car" Other option is somewhere in centre console or door bins as they're both quite large Also already planned another trip in winter.. this time will...

Checklist for travel in France - advice appreciated

There are usually a few tag only lanes that have no traffic through, compared to some other busy toll gates where you'll be queueing for up to 10 mins. That with the ease of use, not skimming your wheels, and most importantly not waking up the wife were good reasons for me. We did the leg down...

Checklist for travel in France - advice appreciated

I ordered mine on Friday 30th June and it was dispatched on the 5th July then arrived on or after following Friday 7th July. Just my issue of ordering on a weekend only a week in advance. If you are worried it won't arrive, can always sign up to ulys - they only charge €1 as a test (no fee...

No, spoken like a fanboy would be stating that fleet south will 100% open this week, Elon said it! Saying a car which has about 1% marketshare is negligible is spoken like a true statistician!

Checklist for travel in France - advice appreciated

So had a lovely first trip driving to Europe in my RWD - posting in case any info helps reassure / advise anyone in future. 1100 miles, avg 250Wh/mi, total charging cost £55, tolls were £60. Worst part was the 3h delay at the chunnel and taycan / Audi's double blocking Folkestone supercharger...

Checklist for travel in France - advice appreciated

I left on the dash in the far left side (on the fabric area) and it worked perfectly. Stuck right next to the crit'air sticker which I also didn't want left on my windscreen! My alternative was trying to clip it into the vent somehow but didn't get it working

Europe Trip Planner - Gathering your thoughts on essentials

Genuinely worked really well once set up. I managed to just leave it facing upwards on the far left side of the dash facing forward which meant no sticking to windscreen, or waking up SWMBO!

[uk] UltraSonic Sensors removal/TV replacement performance

The wiggle lines also seem to persist until about 18mph. Excellent fun when a motorbike passes and appears to be spewing out white lines in all directions.

    2023.6.x

Apologies for the OCD screen cleaners like me (I'll blame the wife).. Very quick and simple test - can it see a brick wall and a big bush in broad daylight conditions. It seems able to do the basics - visual orange/red cue along with "regular" USS beeps. The measurements it's showing are...

[uk] UltraSonic Sensors removal/TV replacement performance

Apologies for dirty screen (I'll blame the wife).. very quick and simple test - it seems to work ok in currently good conditions. Not sure why my brick wall is so wiggly... Definitely says stop about 10 inches early out from front.. which I guess it better than doing it late. Will be...

2023.6.9 brings "park assist" - no it's not autopark, but the long awaited replacement for ultrasonic sensors removal.
