It isn't listed for debate today unfortunately Order of Business 26/10/2022 I wonder if that's because the government hasn't secured agreement from the cross-benchers to pass it yet, thus they keep kicking it down the road?

I'm in the same boat as a few others. Got the notification yesterday, EDD updated to 29 Nov - 13 Dec, but has now returned to Aug - Nov 2022. Odd to see others now getting their orders updated after mine has been downgraded Ordered in Melbourne on 19/2/22 – for M3 RWD White/Black

Does anyone with a good working knowledge of the Australian parliament know how likely this is to pass later this month? Does the Senate usually pass legislation like this when it is returning for budget week?

Is it definitely not happening today? The Senate doesn’t adjourn until 8pm, though they have a fair few items before they get to the EV bill.

Parliament is sitting again from 26-28 September. It is reasonable to expect the legislation will be passed in that time. What likelihood is there that the legislation will receive assent by 30 September? Timelines are tight!
