    Supercharger - Bowen, Qld

Agreed. Rockhampton to Mackay is ~335 km which is also almost not doable for most of the legacy model S/X fleet in Australia which are not equipped with 100 kWh batteries. Even the 100 kWh ones would need either a full or close to full charge to make it when factoring in driving conditions...

Any Benefit in HW 3 Camera Replacement for Non-FSD Countries?

Thank you very much @Tam for confirming and providing the official confirmation. Alright, I will try that on my next highway drive. Does this mean vision only cars cannot turn on their cruise control/AP/EAP if there is a car in front?

Any Benefit in HW 3 Camera Replacement for Non-FSD Countries?

I went through that thread you referenced and a few others related to vision based EAP/FSD issues. Seems like vision based EAP/FSD is still a work in progress with many phantom braking issues not being completely resolved. However, the radar + vision based EAP which I currently have is also...

Any Benefit in HW 3 Camera Replacement for Non-FSD Countries?

Thanks for the detailed reply @Tam . I still have all of the above 4 functionalities available on my car. From a feature stand point I think having radar based EAP right now in Australia is better than having vision only EAP. Now the question becomes of the performance and reliability of the...

Any Benefit in HW 3 Camera Replacement for Non-FSD Countries?

I have browsed through the TMC forum looking for the benefits of the free HW 3 camera upgrade which Tesla offers for legacy Model X cars. What I've learned so far is that the cameras need to be replaced for legacy cars for them to get the latest updates - which includes the FSD updates...

    RIP to my battery

Interesting. Are the legacy (pre-refresh and pre-raven) MX 100D batteries generally not reliable?

My old MX charges better than my old body

I do agree that legacy S/X DC fast charging rate for 20 - 80% is noticeably slower than that of what the newer cars (S/X refresh). Hard for me to put a number to it. I think the perspective of owning the vehicle and every car's efficiency has to be taken into account when making the...

Current charging rates vs older Model X

That's pretty similar to what I usually get from my '17 MX. By saying longest charge so far do you mean that usually it takes you less time to charge from 20% to 80%? If yes, what's the average charge time for you from 20% to 80%?

My old MX charges better than my old body

I have a 2017 MX and usually see 140 kW peak power when SoC is ~20%. It holds itself between 130 - 140 kW until about ~40% SoC when it begins to taper off. At 50% SoC the power input is usually around 95 - 100 kW. It tapers off steeply after this and at 80% SoC I usually get around 40 - 45 kW...

Vendor Upgrade your Model S/X at 057 Tech - More range, more power!

Hi @wk057 - Is there a way for getting a quote including the shipping cost especially from Australia?

    That's an impressive range!

    MX P100D Unicorn?

That's a tad bit better than the car I'm after. What wheel size have you got on your car? The owner of the car told me he had these control arms and axels replaced as well for his car as well. Seems to be a manufacturing fault with the Performance versions of MX built in 2016/2017. Model Y...

    MX P100D Unicorn?

How much range you get on your car at 90% SoC?
  14. E

    MX P100D Unicorn?

The car I'm looking at is a 04/17 P100D. I think the P100D had a slightly less range than 100D (how much less I don't know). If you're at 243 miles at 90% now this means 100% now will be 270 miles. The P100D I'm considering to buy goes 240 miles. Did the new 2017 P100D and 100D had a range...

    MX P100D Unicorn?

Just confirmed this, yes it's both.

    MX P100D Unicorn?

Yup. That's correct. The owner of the car which I am considering to buy e-mailed Tesla and they came back with a confirmation that the car had free supercharging for the life of the car, regardless of ownership transfer. I have another question; The car seems to have a range of 240 miles at...

High Mileage Model S/X Owners and Battery Degradation in Australia

2016 Model S 85D (one of the last nose cone ones) with 21 inch grey Turbines. 203k KM done. Not sure about the original range when new as I purchased the car used. Charges to 382 KM (typical) at 100% SoC.

    MX P100D Unicorn?

Sorry for not clarifying this in my original post. I'm from Australia where generally Tesla vehicles are usually 20% more expensive than USA. I should've stated the AUD price which is about 110k AUD. For a ball park comparison, I'm guessing the same car would be priced ~60k USD in USA. I am...

    MX P100D Unicorn?

    That's 140,000 miles (225k KMs).

    MX P100D Unicorn?

Do the 75kWh and 100kWh packs from 2017 MX have the same degradation profile?

    MX P100D Unicorn?

Hi, I am looking to buy a MX and came across a 2017 MX P100D (Feb 2017 build) will the following specs: - 140k mileage - Performance Ludicrous - Rear spoiler - 6 seater with Tan interior and carbon fiber decor - free unlimited supercharging (transferable to new owner) - 22' silver turbine...

Buying a M X90D - Some General Questions and Things to Look Out for

Thanks for the insights on the battery. 235 miles for a MX 90D is well within the normal degredation range. I am a little confused about the AP2.5 and AP3 HW which came along with MCU upgrade. The car is enhanced autopilot enabled but does this mean it is FSD capable?

Buying a M X90D - Some General Questions and Things to Look Out for

Hi Everyone, I am looking to buy a Tesla Model X and looking into an ad placed for a 2017 MX 90D (built 02/17). The said vehicle has ~135k KMs (85k miles) on it. The car owner claims that it still charges to 380 KM (it isn't specified in the ad whether this range is at 100% SoC or less). The ad...

Need Help - Identifying the correct underhood part

Hi Tesla gurus, Some time ago I parked the car too much forward in a parking lot and ended up having my under-hood apron pulled apart by the wheel stopper. I've been meaning to getting it fixed (possibly DIY) but cannot identify the correct part number for the apron. I've tried at epc.tesla.com...

Running out of Charge and Dead Battery

Ah. That makes sense now. In Australia we get the 'European' version of the car. 252 miles of rated (typical in EU/AUS) range on full is awesome. You must've taken good care of your HVB. I get 235 - 240 miles of 'typical' range when full. True that, I have a CCS Type 2 adapter so I can charge...

Running out of Charge and Dead Battery

I did keep an eye out on the estimate but was confident that I'd make it with a few miles to spare. You are right, I should've slowed down much earlier when I saw the range dropping and margin reducing. It would've allowed it to recalculate and would've helped me before it became a problem...

Running out of Charge and Dead Battery

That's a hard (and expensive) lesson which I learned over the weekend. Cost me $1500 to get the car towed from where I stopped as the nearest Tesla service center was 200 miles away. A further $325 to get the 12V battery replaced. Costly mistake.

Running out of Charge and Dead Battery

Thanks a lot @Rocky_H for your useful insights. I have a few follow up questions as well after going through your responses. Is there any way this imbalance can be fixed or improved i.e. some form of battery calibration which can be done to make it a bit better? Does this imbalance mean one...

Running out of Charge and Dead Battery

Hi Everyone, Over the weekend I found myself in a predicament: I had underestimated the necessary amount of charge in rainy/windy weather on the highway and ended up having the car run out of charge before I could reach the nearby supercharger. My car is fixed now but the experience which I...
