That’s what I did and still can’t get it to work. I also tried turning on usb tethering on the pi.

Thanks everyone. Ended up just using my Mac. Bluetooth tethering kinda works now with my iPhone but it’s slow/keeps dropping

FYI for those who doesn’t like your music to start automatically, if you have an iPhone just create a shortcut to pause music when connecting to CarPlay.

That’s how I connect to the internet with my pi

This is what it looks like once I connect via Bluetooth with my iPhone. I just enable internet access and my phone enables the hotspot via Bluetooth

I’ll post some pics when I can. When you connect via Bluetooth there is a setting you can enable on the pi

I connected to the hotspot via Bluetooth. First, enable hotspot. Then pair your phone to the pi. Once done, there should be a setting on the pi to enable Bluetooth hotspot

I got something similar when re-connecting to the pi via wifi. I ended up having to reboot the pi

Or that but not ideal since you’ll have to wait for pi to boot up which takes longer than re-entering wifi

What Simply turning off wifi in the car didn’t work for me. The car would just turn wifi back on when I leave and connect to the pi. Only workaround I found was to just forget the network and just add the password to connect to the wifi when needed.

Maybe I have it connected wrong but when using Apple CarPlay, sound is coming from the phone via Bluetooth to the car like normal.

Just want to make sure I’m doing this right. The Pi doesn’t connect to the car. You still use Bluetooth from the phone to the car correct?

Based off earlier post, looks like bought the video only board. I went ahead and purchased the one you have. Hopefully that fixes my issues

Below is how i have things connected. I have the micro usb to hdmi cable With one end connected to the pi and the other end connected to the hdmi board (Geekworm C779) Also, i can’t even connect to the pi from my tesla. I see the Wi-Fi (Tesla-adroid 3018) but when i try and connect, it says...

tried single board. I can’t connect to the pi in the Tesla. I’m able to connect to the wifi from a pc but can’t load page 9.9.0.1. Anyone else?
