Yes - the front seems fine but the back has a noticeable chirp squeak when going over small bumps - it should settle and become less pronounced but it’s still there … what is the setting that you have and did you leave the dust boot cover on ?

Anyone found a fix for this ? Looks like the damper may not be the issue - I am still trying for a warranty repair to see if it resolves the squeak

Mine is at 12 in the rear - so yes I will try to dial it to 8 and see if it improves it.

I still have it as well on my 22MYLR with Tein Endura Pro Plus dampers, and I have a suspicion that it's due to the 2022 OEM spring rates with excessive play due to the softer damper setting. I am going to try to set rear to around 8 and then see if the noise is still happening. Its just hard...

Did you guys leave the rear dust boot on. I notice a chirp sound when going over larger bumps (driver side rear) otherwise great.

I had the same issue - probably still do when it’s cold and when the speed is around 49-50. Once I go to 51, the noise dies down. I took it in a few months ago saying the issue was in the rear - but they ended up replacing the front drive unit - there was another bearing noise they detected...

Tesla would not agree to even retrofit the comfort suspension of 2023 to older models even though the dimensions and most dynamics are exactly alike. The dampers and spring rates were improved. I highly doubt if they will allow retrofit from Highland to older models …

I had the same issue for about 2-3 weeks but it has considerably reduced. I think it’s got to do with the Tesla dust boot being used in the rear in the Teins though I am not 100% sure. See if you are able to pull the dust boot down - it just snaps to the top and you can access it behind the...

Yes - I have the OEM boots - they seem to be freely hanging there just for dust protection. The driver side rear is fine - just the passenger side squeaks

Hi @Dyhppy - I am having the same squeaking noise in the rear when going over bumps (slightly big ones)… does removing the dust boot bother you - or did the installer say it’s safe to do so.

Would removing the dust boot cause any rust issues in the future. The squeak is very noticeable- though it’s just day 1 - I am hoping it will get better and subside like what others had commented. I am planning to wait for a week and then take it back to the installer

I just installed the Endura Pro Plus today. It’s now driving much smoother (22 Model Y LR)… but notice creak in the back when going over bumps. The installer did put the dust boot and bump stops from the OEM one

Thanks @ilovecoffee I tightened all bump stops fully and interestingly when I close the hatch - 3 of them held the paper tightly - especially the 2 top tail light ones - and one of the bottom - there is no more room to play with Not sure what to make of it since I seem to recall before...

@koio838 : What did the SC say. Did they adjust the hatch and did that improve the buffeting ?

Usually better to get it done at a pro shop or one specialized in suspensions - generally racing and track shops will do it. Also you need to do a wheel alignment after replacement

This is for the fender which is a long piece that is done by attaching 2 4mm pieces and sliding into the area between the fender and the front doors - not for the wheel well

4mm should work but basically since you glue two pieces - it will be 8mm total thickness… I used a diff one which was 10mm and it rubs slightly when the door is opened or closed …

If the noise is like a plane taking off - it's sort of normal... you can change some settings like reduce harsh acceleration, go from standard to chill etc. But the one I heard was like a rattle, a loose bearing of sort - and they quickly acted on it.
