Did it get rust? Did you ever fix it?

Thank you for sharing your experience. I forgot to mention that mine is a M3 and it is a little over 1000 miles. That being said I don't think that would be the problem because the car is fairly new.

I also hear a popping noise when backing up sometimes, specially when going up a high and inclined side walk and also turning left at the same time to enter a parking lot of a business that I usually go. It sounds like there is something popping under my feet.
