Picked up today from Mulgrave. Delivery experience was ok - Opened the doors to see my nice white seats with large black finger marks on them! Guy called someone over to wipe them clean but I did have to point them out to him (he just went to sit straight on them). Car was clean but not 100%...

I'd guess its because you are outside a major city area - Tesla are struggling to figure out how to deliver to within 10km of the ports so....

Oh sure there is no way that I'm going to be sitting back & leaving the car to its own devices! I've seen the YouTube videos - FSD is no where near ready for actual autonomous driving. Not even close!

Tesla seems to have a lot of "system errors" - trade-ins, existing inventory, some vin allocations. Well they are just a car company, not a software company with thousands of software engineers pushing advanced technologies that people will place their lives in the hands of! :oops:

Usually will be credited next business day... I would expect it to show the credit by midday or so tomorrow.

There really isn't a rush with any of the process. Tesla are slow.... Boat docking - it will be at least a week but probably longer before you will even get a delivery date. That delivery date will be at least 5 days away - but could be 14 or more days away. There is more than enough time to...

I'd say it's also to do with the order in which they can access the cars from the dock. I could only select the 16th - I spoke to them and they said that is the earliest day my car will be available.

Got my Delivery SMS also - could only pick Friday week. All other days were greyed out.

Cant have been - Don Juan left Shanghai before your car was built.

Unfortunatly not.. I just don’t trust they won’t send you a pickup sms tomorrow, or next week, or never… :rolleyes: Thats been the worst part, the inability to plan around this!

I know some other ports/shipping companies around the world handle all customer prep work themselves- ie. washing, cleaning, paint/damage inspection, number plating etc. I didn't think they did that here but I could be wrong.

Your car is/was likely on Don Juan. Your EDD is prob just not updated yet because your in Sale rather than metro.

I feel like x number of hours after the start of your EDD the system automatically pushes the date 2 days back.

My EDD is now Dec 2 - 16. Was my car not on Don Juan? Sigh... I was trying to plan a trip away the next week or two - they are really making it impossible.

Or more likely sitting on the docks waiting around for customs & than their delivery slot.

It all seems pretty random. I ordered white interior & my order is ahead of other who ordered before me. Yeah their order queue & communication could def use some improvement!

I think its going to be tough if you don't have a date range soon then its going to Jan. Last dec boats leaving china now.

Just to add further confusion the dates in this spreadsheet don't line up. It says Trams Future 5 will dock on Friday, but its has just docked now. The original schedule has Trams there for just 24 hours and Don Juan is next in line now so fingers crossed it comes in early! 🤞

Yes the Vicports site didn't add up because they had trans 5 leaving after Artemis but didn't have trams scheduled for docking. ~24 hours for trams 5, then ~24 hours for Artemis, then Don Juan gets to dock. But yes, the timeline keeps slipping... EDIT: Now VicPorts says Don Juan is Scheduled...

And imagine if police pulled over & fined people who are driving erratically and not following road rules.. rather than hiding and fining you for safely driving 45km/h !!

Of note Don Juan was scheduled to arrive (not dock) in Melb originally on the 20th then pushed back to the 23rd (which it did). So it looks like Tesla simply says they aim to get the car to you within 2 weeks of the scheduled arrival of the ship. Just figured that out! :p So our eta is more...

I assume it's like an airplane - bad luck if you are stuck at the back & they only unload via the front door its going to be a longer wait! Real question is how many car are being unloaded - & how many do they process each day (& 7 days a week?) This will give us an idea of the maximum wait...

2 ships ahead of Don Juan - Artemis then Trans Future then finally Don Juan. So at this point I assume we will get our next sms on Friday telling us that we will be getting another sms to book a delivery at some point in the future!

Well I'm glad the unions are out there doing good for everyone! :rolleyes: It must be so volatile to the point that vic ports can't plan more than 2 days ahead. Seems insane considering, you know, we are an island and need, like everything imported!

Don Juan has been pushed back for a docking in Melb now scheduled for Friday (25th). I really don't understand why ships keep getting delayed at ports... are ships unexpectedly turning up and surprising them? Are the ships carrying significantly more cargo than expected? I don't think so.. Or...

Don Juan departure from Kembla pushed to Tuesday. Makes its arrival in Melb Thursday at the earliest. Pickups next week in Melb looking less likely.

Armacup have updated their schedule saying Don Juan will be in Port Kembla 17/11 (today) and Melb (20/11)... But this seems unlikely considering it directly contradicts the Port Authority. Seems like there is 3 ship ahead of it in the queue - RCC Shanghai being no 1 which has just docked.
