Out of curiosity, what ICE cars do you have?

I know. It's insane. We just sold ours for about $9k more than we would've gotten for it had we sold six months ago. I think it's partly a function of used car demand, but also a function of 0 new Model X availability. I'm sure prices will come down once the new ones are released.

I'm also a happy camper with my '18 100D. Remains to be seen whether the new steering wheel (and lack of stalks) will be a usability problem. Also agree that the screen in the back is a nightmare waiting to happen if you have kids. That area (with the cupholders) already gets terrorized right...

Having owned cars from every major German luxury brand and now having owned a Model X for 2.5 years, I can assure you that the X feels nothing like a Kia.

We've got an X and a 3, but if we were in the market now, we'd probably get an S. I don't think anyone sees a major interior or exterior refresh coming soon and those are the only things that would give me pause. The internals are very, very new.

I can't bring myself to like the Y either. In certain trims, like the performance in blue, it doesn't look so bad. But the garden variety looks generic, a little Prius-like in its profile and not sleek. I never loved the 3, but next to the Y it looks much sleeker. The S is still my favorite...

I agree with another poster that if the S and X aren’t updated, we might have to go back to a gas car for one of our two cars. Not ideal, but we’re not getting another X at this point.

I’m in the other corner of Ohio and there are enough Teslas out here that only the Model 3 owners wave, and even then most of them don’t. The X and S owners have never once waved.

I’m in that same boat. I’m past caring about micro scratches that no one will notice. I get a waxing two or three times a year and then use reputable automatic car washes in between. Car looks great.

The fact that OP was asleep to me points directly to driver error. There are so many things that could’ve gone wrong that were induced by OP. EAP has never failed to stop for me in two Teslas in the exact same scenario as OP’s. On the other hand, OP easily could’ve accidentally disengaged EAP...

I’m coming from an Audi and a BMW. The Model 3 is louder, but not to the point where I’d consider it a nuisance. The Audi was like a library on the inside, which was nice but also completely unnecessary.

There’s an easy fix to the auto steering thing. Rather than feeling like you have to modulate pressure in the wheel all the time, just turn the volume knob up and down. Does the same thing. Thank me later. :)
