I also own a 2016 X and am waiting on a 2024 Plaid. With the older X's, when you slow down the regen gradually decreases and <5mph there is zero regen and the car rolls with no resistance until you use the brake pedal.

I would start by replacing the 12v battery. They can fail with little warning.
