Cold Feet: Reassurance or Reality - Tesla MYLR as a Road Warrior Vehicle?

Do it. You won't regret it. I'm in Colorado, and got the YLR on December 31st. Absolutely LOVE it. Will never go back to an ICE car. The responsiveness, pop, fun factor. I don't drive that far, although have done an 800 mile trip, and was fine. If you have super chargers on the route...

ADVICE: 2023 Long Range MY at Carmax or New from Tesla?

It sounds like it's moot now anyway, but lots of mention of EAP and FSD - but no mention of acceleration boost ? I have 0 interest in EAP/FSD and would never pay for that. I don't want the car driving for me, but that little extra boost is worth something imo.

Model X/Y OEM hitch rack vs. Yakima FullTilt 4?

do you have a link / model number for this ? I have an ebike that I'd like to occasionally move around, and this looks like it would be a good option. thanks

    Got any road trip advice?

+1 on the CCS adapter. We have a place in the mountains, and the only charger in town, needed it. I got the CCS Combo 1 Adapter from tesla. Works great.

Mach-E and my Y. Side by Side pics

I ordered a Ford Mach-E Cal Route (the long rang equivalent) last September. The build date dragged and dragged, and when Tesla dropped prices at the end of the year, I ended up buying a Y LR, with 2 years free super-charging. I've been very happy with the decision, but the Ford dealership...

Consuming 40% more energy than estimated?

I'm a new (12/31) y owner, and took it on a 900 mile road trip Denver to Albuquerque and back last month. I quickly realized what others are saying. Colder temps definitely have an impact, as does driving faster, wind, heating etc But then I came to another realization. I bought this car...

What did you name your car?

Red Rocket. And yes - I know that can also be used for part of the anatomy of an over-excited male dog, which still fits !

Ford slashes Mach-E prices by up to $5,900... offers refunds to customers that paid higher price

This still isn't enough of a drop. I ordered a Mach-E Cal Route last September (the AWD LR version). For me, it was comparable to the Y LR. This cut is still not as competitive, and is above the tax rebate threshold. To make it competitive, they'd have needed to drop below that. I...

Discussion: Model 3 and Y price drop Jan 2023 / April 2023 / Oct 2023 and All other Pricing Speculation going forward

You weren't robbed. You both bought it at a price you were happy with. And I can say that, as I'm in almost the same boat - I got mine December 31st, so some incentives, but still a lot higher than today. There's nothing we can do, but let it go. Again - we were very happy with our purchase...

Larger cover for rear center trim to handle multiple OBD connectors ?

I've searched around in the forums, and on-line, but no luck. I've got multiple OBD connectors in the rear center console (S3XY buttons, and a heads-up mini HUD), and am now having a really hard time re-attaching the cover. I wondered if either anyone makes a larger cover that would allow for...

Upset that Tesla screwed customers who took delivery in the last few months

IRA gave Tesla a choice. Make your car affordable, or your buyers don't get the tax break and you don't make your numbers. In hindsight it's genius. This move made EVs more affordable to the masses. We'll all benefit eventually.

Upset that Tesla screwed customers who took delivery in the last few months

I'm calling BS here. I also picked up my Y on the 31st December as well, but I had to fight to get it then, and not on the 2nd or 3rd of January when I'd have lost the $7500 and 2 years of charging. The sales team didn't know what was going to happen then. The IRS hadn't put out their...

Annoyed that app/car seem to treat Friday evening as the "weekend" even though my power company does not.

Yes ! I wish the scheduling was a bit more useful. Let me schedule for week days, and weekends separately. I can push a button on my watch, and have my car fart - but the scheduler tool is something from the 1980s.

wow - congrats ! I felt that way in December when I got the same message and my $3750 discount became $7500. A little less excited now.. :)

    Sentry mode keeps resetting

Searched for the same thing as I'm hitting this - you didn't get replies because there are plenty of other posts about it. Here's one. Why does sentry mode keep turning itself on?

Model Y price drop - status of refund request

they used to offer a 7 day / 1000 mile return, but they scrapped that. I read that if you got it within 24 hours you might be able to, otherwise you're SOL.

Upset that Tesla screwed customers who took delivery in the last few months

Trying to see the bigger picture. This is going to force other manufacturers to drop their prices too, so EVs will become more affordable. More EVs, a better charging network, more servicing centers, etc. So while I lost $ on my late December purchase, ultimately I'll still gain from this...

Poll: Who paid the highest MY

I thought I'd done well, getting a Y on December 31st with the $7.5K off, and 2 years of supercharging. Now I could have got it considerably cheaper. Still - I was happy with the deal at the time, so can't be too unhappy. To me - this shows how powerful the government can be. EVs were...

When can I start using the free 10,000 supercharger miles?

has anyone who got the 10,000 mile / 2 year deal in December, used a super charger yet, and can confirm it's free ? I still see the 'Pay as you go' comment on my car, but did see the item in my loot box too. It feels like it should update the car details, as we're not 'pay as you go'. I'll be...

Snow tread = MYLR all season tires?

thanks for that. I'm a new Y owner, living in Colorado. I came from a jeep wrangler, which (in 4WD mode) was amazing in the snow. We have snow at the moment, and with all season tires, it felt decidedly less secure in the snow than I was hoping. I went out just now on snow / ice covered...
