The plot thickens. I read that as a strong possibility that the IRS notification can be expected anytime now (as opposed or 3/31) and TESLA is trying to get ahead of any expectations around whether that constitutes delivery or orders ahead of the announcement.

This is an important consideration since its somewhat unique to Tesla. There are vehicles in states where they can only be registered in that state, and some where they can be registered in a few other states and yet others where you have to pay more in taxes. Its complicated to say the least...

This is lightning fast so you're very lucky given the uncertainty around the whole tax credit thing. I have not come across 1000+ mile from factory locations getting delivery within a week of production so this is truly fantastic turn around time.

Do you know the build date? If it was build around the time the VIN was assigned then you have an excellent build to delivery interval at around one week. Gives me hope that my EDD will move ahead from the current MAR 19-26 (build date of 03/04) 🤞
