have vin# of 2016 S P90D for sale / can it tell me SC01 or not?

Hello. It is not possible to tell by VIN. Even if the car originally had SC01 (for example, sold <= 2016), trading it into Tesla may remove SC01 and convert it to SC05 (I don't have the dates available when this started). Your best bet is to instruct the seller to pull the option codes from a...

    Roadside Assistance experience: Flat Tire

I was the unfortunate victim of a large nail right where the tread meets the sidewall (unrepairable), losing about 2 psi every minute, so I had to act fast. To make a rather long story short: Had Fix-a-Flat and emergency compressor onboard. Did it work? No. Fix-a-Flat will not be reliable...

    Squeaky Brakes - Model 3

Had the same exact problem/sound for months, but only in reverse and at low speeds. No amount of 'hard braking' helped, and it just seemed to be getting worse over time. I was considering the possibility of my pads being worn down to the warning strip, but there was only one way to find out...

On the same note, you can only charge at 32A max on a 40A breaker. 40A charge rate should not be used on a 40A breaker.

    Bad key card

I believe any key card will work. The same "tap key card" message will appear when attempting to remove phone or key fob pairings. In the Tesla world, the key card is effectively your only "real" key(s). I've had the phone unpair on me in the past after an update, requiring the key card to...

    Bad key card

At least one key card needs to be paired with the car. It will not let you remove it if there is no other paired card. Since you added a new card, you should be able to remove the dead one from the menu, same process as a "lost" card. The card is associated with the car, not the account...
