Car location on Map is off by few meters

Just enjoy the GPS antennas while you have them guys. They'll soon be replaced by Tesla Vision to determine your position on the globe, saving £14.56 production costs per vehicle. They are already training the AI using geo guesser videos...

    [UK] Spring Software Update

I'm wondering, if cars in the US with Intel Atom chips are able to handle FSD Beta along with all the visualisations that come with it, why can Intel cars not get high fidelity park assist and the new visualisations here?

    [UK] 2024.2

I mean, you jest, but.... seriously, I wonder what it WILL break?!?? One thing is 100% for certain, it will not fix the auto wipers. That would be like asking Andy Murray to win Wimbledon with a Badminton Racquet.

    Crazy settlement figure

I hear what you are saying, but I bought an 18 month old CPO car with 12k on the clock at 39% off the new list price. That didn't feel like an inflated price to me, it felt like a good deal! Lucky, the BMW X3 deal I moved from (£450 deposit, £450 per month) had me come out with about 7k, so I'm...

    Crazy settlement figure

It crazy, the value of my 2021 LR has tanked since I bought it 9 months ago. I though it was a safe bet buying a Used car that had already taken a big depreciation hit, at the time I paid £35k for an 18month old car with 12k miles and a few extras (black paint, alloys, EAP); the original list...

Tesla open up the SuC network [in UK]

Question, if I own a Tesla and my wife gets a different EV, say the Volvo EX30. Do we have to pay the monthly fee for her to use the few superchargers open to all, or does it come included with my ownership?

Tesla Premium Connectivity - Is it really wort it ?

Day to day, no. For road trips, yes. At least that's my experience. I just subscribe when I need it.

    TESLA Y INSURANCE RECOMMENDS

My wife had a small bump her work carpark with a parked vehicle earlier this year, the other car needed a replacement headlamp, hers needed some minor bodywork repair to a single panel. The insurance paid £4,400 for the claim! Madness.

    TESLA Y INSURANCE RECOMMENDS

I did some quotes on a Tesla Model 3 LR back in March before I bought, the best price I saw was £570 which didn't seem too bad considering my BMW X3 was £422. Anyway, I bought one and changed the vehicle with Admiral back in early May, it cost £35 extra for the 2 months remaining on my policy...

    Just another Road Trip post

So, I did some research on the property we stayed in. Looking a Google Earth and Street View, along with interior photos of the property. This intensive detective work allowed me to conclude that I would be able to run the granny charger out of the living room window to the car, so we didn’t use...

    Strange sticky residue

Does anyone know what this strange sticky residue is on the back of my car? I don’t think it was there when I picked the car up last month, as it’s too noticeable to miss for a month. I’ve tried the old hair dryer and wd-40 trick but it won’t budge.

    Just another Road Trip post

I was also surprised ABRP wasn't selecting Cribbs, but as @Mrklaw suggested I had the family to factor in so the John Lewis at Cribbs was a good opportunity to stop for lunch and some shopping. I was actually surprised how quick i did hit 95%, I had to go and move the car before lunch, but...

    Just another Road Trip post

Last weekend we returned home from our first family road trip in our new (to us) 2021 Model 3 LR. I thought I’d share some information on the experience overall. We travelled from Leeds to North Devon and back, c320mi each way. The Roof Bars - I was able to get mine a little cheaper than the...

UK: buying from Tesla used inventory.

Ah man, really sorry to hear about your issues @AndyFov @mkislam, really feel for you guys. Honestly, I feel like there has to be some sort of lawsuit here, how on earth can Tesla think this is acceptable practice? Regarding the road tax question earlier. You can actually go to the gov website...

Mine was similar, but to a far lesser extent. They had the car for 8 weeks because, in their words, they wanted to make sure it me their "extremely high standards" for used vehicles. Then why the **** did it have a TPMS warning and an amateurish respray on the front wing. I think it just...

Wow, that is terrible, really sorry to hear that. How on earth can they think it's acceptable to sell a car like that? If I were you I'd leave it with them and take a full refund, refuse to leave the service centre until the money is in your bank account.

Just echoing what others have said, it still states on the website "Your delivery timeframe depends on a variety of factors including preparation time and transportation time, and may take around two to four weeks". Rumour: Model 3/Y to lose stalks in 2023 model year

I definitely wouldn't buy any car without an indicator stalk, that's just crazy in the UK. Can you imaging going through the Magic Roundabout in Swindon, it would be like a game of whack-a-mole trying to press that indicator button. I don't know why we're all getting so worked up about this...

I realise I'm late to this thread but I just picked up my Model 3 on Tuesday. Anyone have the link to what their quality parameters are? It may be useful when I inevitably head into battle. @Matrel Yeah, it's crazy that I waited 8 weeks and suffered endless delays, all likely so that they could complete this absolute bodge respray job on the front corner. I would have...

@AndyWarrington @TechnoWatch do you guys have anything on your OVO dashboard to reflect that you are using Charge Anytime? I don't, but I setup the Charge Anytime app using my OVO and Tesla credentials and it's working well and building up savings in the wallet. I'm worried I won't see these...

Update from my side. I'm undecided yet, however you look at it, 2 months is a hell of a long time to wait for a used vehicle! It's interesting, they haven't formatted the USB memory stick so I've got a load of dashcam/sentry footage from the previous owner, including when they traded it in on...... 10th Dec...

Afternoon all. I just got back from picking my car up from Corby. Not the easiest place to get to via rail, I just went to Peterborough and got a £60 Uber from there. That’s crazy, how did they not figure out it needed that months ago!? I’m torn on that compensation, I suppose if you still have a car to get around and have the patience to wait, it’s great. If you don’t have a car, then it’s nothing compared to the inconvenience. I would get them to ship...

If I do indeed collect mine on Tuesday it will be exactly 8 weeks since my order, simply unacceptable for Used Vehicle no matter how you look at it.
