I use the MagnePlate but I got it a year ago when I first got the car. I use it to carry my EZpass but only put it on when I expect to pass a toll booth. So far so good. I'd say it's on about 10 percent of the time. Sorry to hear they are no longer available, it's a great product!

This from another post. Red arrows show the irrational hp numbers based on two 259hp motors. My assumption is that the 85D has two 259hp motors but can only produce 417 total based on battery output.

@TechGuy Car and Driver list 70D as 514hp (The Tesla Model S 70D Is the New, 514-hp AWD Base Model) S85D has two motors of 259 hp each but total of 422hp. 0-60 was 4.3 when I bought the car. Don't know torque number. Here's a photo of the specs page if it loads.

I also fold when entering and leaving my garage, but I open them as soon as I clear the door so I can see the other car sitting in the driveway. Tomorrow I'll try not opening until I shift to Drive, but I think I noticed it do that a few days ago. Nice to hear it's now a feature.

I experienced something similar but more intense a month or so ago but was never able to isolate or duplicate. It happened several times, always at low speed. I noticed this new effect just today, did update yesterday. S85D, delivered May 15, 2015.

Has happened a few times in my home garage when I didn't think temperature was that high but I assumed it was cooling the battery. It always stops when I open the car and sit down.

I got the S85D with air for a couple of reasons. I test drove both air and coils and liked the air ride better, but the main reason was because with over the air updates the suspension would always be eligible for improvement or new features. Sort of future proofing the suspension.
