I ordered January 2015 and received May 2015, and I paid a $2000 line item for unlimited supercharging. As I recall, it was optional at the time I ordered, quickly became a required option, and then just as quickly they raised the base price by $2K and the line item was removed.

I would suggest to you that a battery pack (not a cell) of 4680 vs 2170 will be cheaper to manufacture and assemble. The cell itself should be a wash. That's assuming like for like; including amongst is that the presence of solid state/dry electrolyte should be form factor agnostic.

Do you have a battery replacement? The max charging rate a 2012 should accept is 90 kW (I believe). Sometime in 2013 it was increased (officially) to 120, which might actually mean 150 on the new chargers.

I think/hope it means the Tesla Semi costs about $75K more than a standard diesel truck to buy, but over 2 years saves you about $75K in fuel costs, so that portion of the TCO is a wash after 2 years.
