Wall Connector network connections to AWS servers

Count me in as well, same problem, Unifi Dream Machine SE, current OS "Network 8.0.28". I'm not skilled enough to do any dumps, so I doubt I can contribute much to this conversation. But if someone can find a fix, I would be thankful. Meanwhile I was also having problems with my Trane...

In my experience and recollection, auto wipers worked fine until they were incorporated into Autopilot 2.0 in 2016. Haven't worked since.

Model 3 year over year changelog

I don't see on your list .... We have a 2017 Model 3, in the first 5100 made. The seats are terrible, very uncomfortable. I am pretty sure they changed the seats in 2018 or at least by the time the Ys first became available in early 2020. Anyone know? (USA btw)

What should my ideal charge percentage be?

How fast do you want to add electricity to your battery? Inversely, how much time can you allow for the battery to charge? You can dial in more or fewer amps, thereby increasing or decreasing the rate you add charge to your car. DOES NOT APPLY TO SUPERCHARGERS No longer brief, but you asked...

    Supercharger - Memphis, TN

I'm a local, had to stop by today mid afternoon. Arrived in the 85 or so degree heat, 540 PM not too much sun, battery at 18%, and maxed out at 51 kW before settling at 50kW for nearly 25 minutes. Then had enough to run my errands and head home. Bottom line is that this was never a great...

Will 21" Plaid Arachnids fit on 2017 Model S? - Answer: No, they rub

Hijack warning .. anyone know if the exact opposite is possible? Can a set of the original circa 2016 Arachnids be put on a new, 2023 Model S? For those who don't know, the original Arachnids were hand forged in England, so a much better wheel than the current Arachnids. But I undersatnd they...

    2018 P75D Bent Tie rods

    I'm sorry but have to ask ..P75D? Tesla never made a Performance version with a 75 battery .. P85, P85D, P85DL, P90, P90DL, and P100D, then just "Plaid". No?

ChatGPT’s Response to a question about 4680 Battery Cells

I would suggest to you that a battery pack (not a cell) of 4680 vs 2170 will be cheaper to manufacture and assemble. The cell itself should be a wash. That's assuming like for like; including amongst is that the presence of solid state/dry electrolyte should be form factor agnostic.

Supercharger - Memphis, TN - S Highland St

Yeah, this is in the middle of residential neighborhoods, pretty far from any expressway. This is for local chargers. Does Tesla still install the 72 kW "urban chargers"?

Upgraded charge rates for older Model S

I have a Nov '18 Model S (that's pre-Raven), saw 204 kW at a 1 day old Gen3 Supercharger, at 9 AM in 70 degree temp, navigated there and arrived with around 20% SOC.

    Another price drop

Aannd ... some sort of credit or transfer of anything more than base Autopilot for something more than base Autopilot. EG if you paid $10K for FSD you should get a discount on current FSD.

    Tesla Supercharger network

Do you have a battery replacement? The max charging rate a 2012 should accept is 90 kW (I believe). Sometime in 2013 it was increased (officially) to 120, which might actually mean 150 on the new chargers.
  17. C

Superchargers - Tesla is playing games

Yeah the chargers age out. Seems like the biggest culprit is the cables themselves. Seems like they get somewhat brittle after some number of charging events, this leads to less optimal electrical connection, which leads to heat production, which the unit senses and therefore decreases max...

Bestest Idealest Battery charging percentage band

Sarcasm aside, ideal is to oscillate around 50%. So for you that probably means charge to 56%. That being said, it makes very little difference unless you are commonly going > 80% or commonly < 20%, and only a little bit more in the adjacent 10% (10-90%). Anything outside those limits leads...

Refreshed Model S Longe Range - Real World Range Test?

Its an estimate. For the estimate to be maximally accurate, it needs much data. So #1 don't sweat it #2 occasioannly take a long trip, start at 95%, dive down to 20%, rinse and repeat. You will very likely regain much of your 'lost' range.
  28. C

Hypothetically what would be worse for my battery longevity?

80%+ but <100% Only a problem if you do it repeatedly (or if you let it sit when very hot)

Supercharging on a really hot day

battery hot while charging = good, BMS will manage it; charging cable or transformer hot while charging = bad eg Bowling Green is terrible during the sunny summertime hours not bad otherwise. There's nothing but an empty field to the south of the Supercharger (at least, last time I used)

The Tesla Semi Order Books Are Finally Open

I think/hope it means the Tesla Semi costs about $75K more than a standard diesel truck to buy, but over 2 years saves you about $75K in fuel costs, so that portion of the TCO is a wash after 2 years.

Model Y - Gigafactory Texas Production

Apologies if already answered - I know nothing of the thermodynamics of metal. I know that in a material with inherent flow, a hot area will rise to the top and cold will settle to the bottom. I think that is caused by the difference in pressure between the hot area and the cold area; high...

    Russia/Ukraine conflict

Its pretty clear Germany, for example, saw this data last week and finally after decades of the USA and UK begging them to start paying for their own military defense, have finally started to do so. Supercharger - Memphis, TN - North Germantown Parkway

As for I-55 ... In 2015 I answered this same question, and still feel the same. Not in Memphis. Barely across the river in West Memphis AR, where I-55 and I-40 converge, run together for 2 miles, then diverge and run almost parallell for another 2 miles. Much of this 4 miles is unbuildable...

Model Y - Gigafactory Texas Production

No, this is yet another example of a reporter without intelligence or insight. It doesn't take < 1 minute to build any car. Rather, 1 more comes out the door of the factory about every minute. So the run rate is something between 1/minute and 1/45 seconds. From first stamping thru assembly...

No. The newest may be different, but the 2017-2020s are held on with a combination of double sided tape and security screws. Those screws go vertically. Get yourself a right angled narrow pliers, get down on the ground, work the 2 screws outs. Several ways to get the double sided tape off...

From your question I infer you are somewhat new to your car. Apologies if I am incorrect. Below is a lesson a new user will likely need to know. On all Model S and X, the instrument panel is actually running 3 different apps at the same time. The main app you cannot modify, its on the...

In all Teslas (well, maybe not the Roadster) to reset the computer ... Get in, foot on break. Keep the break peddle depressed. Press and hold the button on each side of the steering wheel. Do different model years have different top supercharging speeds?

My December 2018 Model S100D achieves 196 kW on a brand new 250 kW Supercharger. As I understand it, the S started at 90, then 120, then the X came out, and at some point they started progressively increasing the max charge rate the car could accept reaching 200 kW until the palladiums came...
