Also, don't forget, for regular gas vehicles, the battery also needs to be replaced every 3 years (average) and they cost between $100 to $200, and add labor if the owner asks a shop or dealer to install. More expensive for BMWs and Mercedes vs Japanese brands.

Thanks!! So the black gemini covers that you bought are the aftermarket ones that are slightly larger and cover the lip of the gemini alloy wheel correct? Not the OEM covers that fit inside of the lip exposing the lip to possible dangers.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. I have the same mentality as you, and have plans to specifically get the base AWD version due to the front and rear gigacastings and 4680 structural battery pack. I was, and still am, under the impression that the tolerance should be better...

For sure, and to this point, I believe one of the early "initial impression" type reviews stated that VW will build the ID Buzz in Europe first to test the waters in the US, potentially bringing production to the US so it could qualify for the EV Tax credit. I think this is challenging for VW...

VW recently released some more details of the US long wheel base version. I think the product is good, but the price VW will set is going to make or break this vehicle in the USA.

I think for some of the forum members here, the base AWD is even more of a bargain since this thread started as it continued to qualify for the $7500 federal ev tax credit and starting at $47,490. If you qualify for the full tax credit, that brings this base AWD down to $39,990 plus fees etc...

Induction style covers look so good! Best of both worlds, comfort of the 19" wheels, yet have to ability to change looks in a matter of minutes with minimal impact to the wallet. Share more pictures if you can!

Steve, thanks for the reply. So the audio calls and pandora that comes through on the hansshow screen cannot be routed back to/through the main car audio system?

I have a similar situation with the OP I commute 8 miles everyday. According to this, that means the car would be charged everyday to say 90%, and then at the end of the day maybe it's at 85%, so the battery is constantly between 85% to 90%. Is this better (minimizing battery degradation) than...

So assuming a LR Y, that 100 miles of range would be approximately 30%? So basically charge to 90%, and then drive drive drive until 30%, then charge up to 90%? Similar to the OP, my commute everyday is 8 miles. 2 in the morning, then 6 in the afternoon.
