I'm trying to use a Tessie referral link on the desktop browser, but it's just taking me to the normal "try free for 14 days" page, screenshot below. How exactly can I use the referral to get the month free trial and benefit the referrer?

He's wrong! It makes a static/hissing sound when moving forwards at slow speed. It's not as audible compared to the reverse "UFO sound" though.

The rear inner tail lights aren't CANbus controlled, only the headlights are (and maybe brake lights). That's unless something has changed in the past three months. There are discrete lines running from the body controller to the tail light assembly. They're all "power in" for the fog, reverse...

There's a 12v line which runs from a harness in the front of the cabin all the way to the rear. This could be tapped into for powering a relay to disable the PWS speaker. The harness runs from the Right Body Controller, down under the door sills, and then up to the rear lights.

No, wipers and the headlights are controlled via CANBUS. They're digitally controlled. The headlights for example only have three wires going to them (+power, ground, and CANBUS control). The PWS speaker is analogue in the sense that the thing driving it (the MCU) is outputting an amplified...

Since it's an analogue output, that's probably the reason for not being able to control it.

Please remember that there are plenty of other countries where the NHTSA rules don't apply. There's no requirement for vehicles to make any noise where I am, although that may change in the future.

I wonder if it would be possible to disable the PWS "UFO Sound" while reverse is selected in a future update. That's the only thing I'd like to have a toggle setting for, to disable it when reversing out of the driveway early in the morning so that I don't disturb the neighbours.

My April '23 Model 3 RWD from Shanghai does use the PWS speaker for the standard horn sounds. There are no separate horns on the left side of the car like in previous years. Plus the PWS speaker (Part Number 1671113-00-B) in my car is a 50watt 2 ohm unit, while the older ones were 25 watts 4 ohm.

Except one of these has happened, the other is coming from a single picture on the internet. Parking sensors are still available on current models for other countries (Aus/NZ for example).

No one knows anything, however it appears that the car yard area where the Model 3's are parked once produced at the Shanghai factory is suspiciously empty. Musk was recently visiting the factory too, with some speculating it was to see how the initial vehicles were looking while rolling off...

Does anyone know if there's a shipment on the way to NZ? I placed an order on April 13 for a M3 RWD, and recived the final invoice with VIN on the 28th. Expected delivery date is currently June 14-30. I've been trying to keep an eye out for shipments over this way, but nothing can be seen yet...

That's assuming they're paying market prices for the BMW.
