    Rear trunk won't open

Same thing happenned to me. 2017 90D 70500 miles. Temporary fix to get cruise and autosteer functions was pull the black plug (top left not bottom right) several times to release the cinch actuator, as in the video in several previous posts, and pull the 30amp fuse 210 to prevent the tailgate...

    Model 3 Key Fob

Definitely thinking about it as my wife has had a lot of problems with her phone not connecting. But just thinking why don't they allow entry with model S or X key if you already have one. Saves having two keys in pocket. Yes I did try to add the MS key to the M3 but it does not work.

Tesla Wall Connector - Type B / Type A-EV RCD

Very informative tutorial. One point: with 100mA RCD upstream would this not saturate at a higher level and therefore could a type B RCD (30mA DC?) be used downstream without blocking the upstream one? ie what is the level of DC fault that a standard AC 100mA RCD will operate at. Ditto for...

    What's in 2019.20.4.3?

I had severe weaving side to side at speed on AS on 20.4.2, which seems to be cured on 20.4.3. I cant be 100% sure ( probably 95%) this was the result of software updates as 20.4.2 coincided with a trip abroad with full load, and 20 .4.3 coincided exactly with return and reduced load.

    2019.20.4.2

Well pumped the front tyres a bit (only extra 2psi) and now behaving better but still tendency towards weave at 85mph.

Thanks, I'll try that. Definitely something wrong somewhere .

    2019.20.4.2

Only other thing I can think of is it's a fully loaded car, 4 passengers and luggage. Nothing we haven't done before though.

    2019.20.4.2

After upgrade 20.4.2 I am getting very bad lane follow above 60mph . On autosteer tries to hunt or zigzag in the lane. Before it was perfectly stable. So bad it affects passengers and the steering wheel is alternately tugging left , right at about or two times per second. So bad I had to revert...

    2017.50.3.f3425a1 is out!

Raining here in UK auto wipers worked adequately on 100mile round trip. on occasion allowed a bit more rain build up than I would have preferred, (Setting 2). A few days before though when not raining, I noticed the wipers start up every time I went into a tunnel from daylight. Overall still...

    AP2.0 Cameras: Capabilities and Limitations?

Makes sense as the M8 series ublox has been available since 2014 now. Early Ublox M8 receivers were hackable for raw data but no longer possible on latest shipped devices from Firmware 3.01 ( early 2016) Tesla could in principle get bespoke raw data enabled receivers from Ublox, the data is all...

    AP2.0 Cameras: Capabilities and Limitations?

The Lea 6R makes sense as it is dead reckoning for tunnels etc., but not raw data (RTK capable) enabled by default. plus only single constellation (GPS) There is a custom firmware hack around to get raw data ( pseudorange, doppler and phase) out on most 6 series Ublox receivers. However the 6...

    AP2.0 Cameras: Capabilities and Limitations?

OT, Anyone know what Ublox device they are using? Some eg M8T are raw data enabled. So they could in principle do RTK (cm) accurate GPS by streaming down virtual reference base station data over WAN. They could even in future use their supercharger network as base stations to generate the...

New Base Wheels - 19" Silver Slipstream in Model S Design Center

Interesting view from the inside. Not very aerodynamic on that side! I checked my own Cyclone 19" wheels and they have a similar weight saving cutouts on the inside too. I wonder if anyone has thought of filling the cutouts with a very lightweight filler? Perhaps polystyrene foam capped with an...

    Smart EVSE (Open Source)

Solar PV charging using SmartEVSE and Sola Controla PV controller I have added DC control of the Charging current to enable closed loop control using a standard "Sola Controla" PV heating controller. Now can charge depending on PV export power available, continuously adjusted in realtime under...
