Whatever happened to the front bumper camera and ambient lighting?

I was just joking. This has always been there 😂

Front camera is definitely coming soon

Model X door no longer open fully automatically without USS (ultra-sonic sensors)?

I agree 100% with you. This “feature” is right there along with “premium build quality” and “quiet cabin” as far being remotely close to reality 😂 I would also forgo the FWD if given the option. Just regular doors with auto present handles like the S would do.

When to announce the next best thing? Is the stock down? ✔️ Is there lots of bad press about Cybertruck? ✔️ Are deliveries for last quarter down? ✔️ Was there a stock downgrade? ✔️ 3 or more ✔️ = Announce 📢😂

FSD 12 perspective from a previous skeptic

I just got the update. Drove a familiar route today. Vastly improved. In every way. This is encouraging.

    Ioniq 5 road trip impressions

I have three things to say here. Software. Software. Software. This is where Tesla excels. It reminds me of Apple. The hardware/software synergy is unrivaled in the auto industry. Rattles and build quality is another story.

    Articles like this one…

Journalism is dead and we’re living in the era of “experts” who are just Tik Tok talking heads who have zero qualifications. https://moneywise.com/auto/la-tesla-owner-says-his-car-dies-every-day 'Fighting for our lives': Tesla driver in LA says his car 'dies every day' and he's 'over it' — why...

Demon 170 taken down by Plaid....

This was fun to watch. I would say that keeping all four wheels on the ground is kind of a fundamental prerequisite for proper motoring. What an inefficient power deliver and that's from already inefficient internal combustion engine. Let's compare notes... Plaid - Press "go" and beat the...

    Twitter and the Chief Twit

You are absolutely right. Here in the States, Biden would have passed for a moderate Republican a couple of decades ago. Today he's seen as liberal by his political opponents. Some Republican ideas from a decade ago would be seen as liberal ones today as well.

    2024 Highland M3 side-by-side comparison videos

Thanks for sharing this comparison. When I was listening to you talk about the stalk removal and the new way to change gears, it reminded me of the time when Apple removed the home button. I hated it. I was so confused. Why would they do this? Today? I cannot imaging having that huge, pointless...

Tesla employee killed in crash involving FSD?

Thank you for adding this insight. You made a very good point. I didn’t realize this accident happened almost six years ago.

Tesla employee killed in crash involving FSD?

Here’s another case, which in my opinion has no merit whatsoever. https://apple.news/AFtELrLg8Q-6RtkGG-Nu-zQ Tesla has a plain English, short, and strongly worded disclaimer when you activate FSD. It literally says it “may do the worse thing at the worse time” and that you must, at all time...

I think he is more of a Libertarian than a far right Republican. I also think he’s a more complex individual with a broad spectrum of opinions and views. I don’t think he is a radical, although he has said some pretty alarming things. He seems to have a difficult time expressing himself...

    Twitter and the Chief Twit

Elon Musk says some really dumb things, to be blunt. It's fascinating to see someone who is clearly intelligent choose to speak out publicly in such careless way. There is no doubt he has moved farther to the right. Possibly far right. Having said that, I think he is also unfairly judged and...

Is the Rivian R2 a serious challenger to the Model Y? | TMC Podcast #61

I truly hope it will be a serious competitor and I hope Lucid will also challenge the X with the Galaxy. Consumer will be the winner here. If you're a diehard Tesla fan, you'll also be a winner as Tesla will have to address build quality and continue to innovate and evolve to keep pace. If...

2021 Tesla Model X York steering replacement

I would recommend you check first under service menu if you’ll be able to update the interface to reflect the change. Tesla seems to have locked it down. They needed to physically jack into the computer to make the change. I ended up having Tesla install it and it only cost around $50. They...

    Emergency shutdown on highway

Similar incident happens to me in the Model Y, which I replaced with an X since I had so many problems with it. In my case, I got a bunch of error codes and lost all power while going 70mph in the middle lane on a very busy highway. Barely made it over to the shoulder. The rear drive unit...

Whatever happened to the front bumper camera and ambient lighting?

I have a hard time believing that massaging seats are coming anytime soon, if ever. It would have to be an incredibly well kept secret given how much interest there is on all things Tesla out there.

    From Y to Audi e-tron: a Comparison

Don’t you love that we have more and more choices? I think it’s great and you played a role in making BEVs more mainstream by buying that Tesla a few years back. Nice comparison. I’ve always had a preference for European cars and had driven VW, Audi and Benz, among others. The latter two had...

First Tesla: Model Y Performance 😮

I agree. I had a terrible experience with my first Tesla and the next two have been great thus far and I really like driving them. It’s weird, honestly. I can’t point a finger to one thing and tell you why I like the car. I just love driving it… As for the possible curb rush, I recommend...

Tesla blesses other cars blocking two stalls due to short cord

Agh. You guys are way too nice. I am not happy with this at all. I bought a Tesla so that I could charge reliably. Now I will worry if there is going to be a stall available. On the other hand, this will no doubt help EV adoption and that’s obviously super important.

Model X door no longer open fully automatically without USS (ultra-sonic sensors)?

Thought experiment: Guy with Foundation Series offer adds Person#2 to title as Joint Owner; finalize "sale" to P#2 in a year

"Thought experiment" you say 😆 Quick question, does Alan also sell marked up PS5 and Nvidia graphic cards on eBay? In all seriousness, I'd say two things. One, I doubt Tesla would actually pursue a lawsuit or attempt to fine "Alan." Two reasons. One, you'll have no trouble finding a lawyer that...

I was very surprised by just how much better the Cybertruck looks in real life. Kind of like the recent Volvo taillights. They look weird in photos but when you see them in person, they look really good. Cybertruck looks flatter and wider and way bigger in real life. Congrats! I believe I'm...

I completely understand. I opted for the Ultra Red, which at the time was included, and white interior, which was extra. However, I don't quality for the credit, so it was really a $2,000 decision. If I had qualified, I would have opted for the default interior. I wish they made the interior...

    New Model Y Owner!

I always find third party mats and accessories lacking in quality. Tesla ones are very nice and while you pay a premium, you also get what you paid for with them. The only aftermarket ones I had to get is for the back of the rear seats. Tesla doesn’t make them and I need them. That’s where...
