I have an S and my wife has a Y performance. She hates the S. She thinks it's uncomfortable and hard to get in and out of.
If this is a family car, get the Y. It's higher to the ground and much more family friendly. If this is your car and your daily driver, get the S.
Do the turn signal work? I have AP1 and I was thinking of replacing the turn signals with repeater cameras just as a deterrent. It sounds silly but it could stop people from vandalizing my car or even parked cars next to me from being careless in opening doors.
buy it on offerup or facebook market place so you can make sure it's the correct one. Then mobile service will program for $19 each. The guy took less than 5 minutes to program.
Anybody know where I can get for a front lip spoiler with the middle part of the bumper extending like this RPM Tesla one for my 2016. I called RPM but no response. Would this 2021+ lip fit my car...
I wouldn’t. I have a 2016 S and my wife has a 2022 Y performance. Love the Y. Tech is great and car is super fast. But, i prefer my S all day. S is spacious and it’s more luxurious inside. Also, my car is paid off while we have payments on the Y.
I’m assuming yours is paid off. Just fix the...
Take your $50k and buy 2 cars in Kauai and Turo it there. I was there last year and there were hardly any Uber drivers. Rental cars were pretty expensive too so opted for Turo. Met a guy that had 5 cars on Turo and they were all paid off using the Turo income.
Anyways, the 2 cars for about $50...
Warranty is 9 years/150k miles. That’s 3 years.
In any case, that’s an absurd amount of driving. He can buy a brand new 2023 car and the warranty would be done in a year. So that’s why I suggested an older S with free supercharging. That alone would save him thousands a year.
If I were you, I would look at a 2017 S with free supercharging and about 75k miles. I’ve seen some go for around $26-28k. Then I would buy a battery/DU warranty from XCare for around $4k. You’ll have an S only $30k with free supercharging and peace of mind. Drive it for 3-4 years. With free...
It really depends on your location and what's available for sale. Here in CA, where there are a bunch of used S for sale, I would say no more than $30K. Looking at what's available in Raleigh, not as many available and they are priced much higher ($35K+).
If the condition is good and doesn't...
Picked up this 2016 75D in Titanium Metallic about 10 days ago. Washed, clay bar, and applied ceramic coat. Color is very polarizing. I’ve gotten a lot of compliments but also received some “why did you get this color?” comments.
I’m not a handy guy at all but I washed, clay bar, and applied Adam’s ceramic coat and it makes washing and keeping the car clean a lot easier.
If you don’t want to do that hard work, you can pay somebody to do it. I think it’s worth it.
I tried purchasing the warranty and I got this message. I live in CA. I tried calling the number during business hours and it went to a voicemail box that is full. Not off to a good start to say the least. Almost feels like a sign from above to not sign up for this extended warranty. haha...
I'm looking at a 2016 model s. HV and drive unit hasn't been replaced and it is still under warranty for next year. If HV or drive unit needs replacement within the next year, Tesla will cover it. After that, XCare covers it, right?
I've read Tesla may replace it with a refurbished battery not...
