    Slip start in reverse

Thanks for confirming, I don't think I was turning when reversing so I didn't think stability control would be interfering but it's so aggressive I never know when it'll kick in. Maybe it didn't like the back end moving slightly sideways on the sloped snow...

    Slip start in reverse

Has anyone tested slip start in reverse? I got my RWD model 3 a little bit stuck in deep snow yesterday and when trying to rock the car out it seemed like it was not allowing wheel slip in reverse with slip start on. I'd get myself almost backed out out of the hole I was in, the wheels would...

    Mountain bikers

Figured out a partial solution to my 1UP rack wobble: I bolted on an "Xtreme duty wheel chock". Not intended for my rack but it works fine with a triangular aluminum spacer. Steering rotation was causing more of the wobble than I expected. It's much better but still not as stable as I'd like...

First real winter test at 0° F and 5" of powder. So glad to be back with RWD instead of FWD but the stability control is annoyingly aggressive and harsh! Really wish all Model 3s got track mode or at least something better than slip start.

Model 3 OEM fog light beam pattern

There doesn't seem to be any side to side adjustment with the matrix headlights. It does show sideways adjustment as an option in the calibration prompt but pushing the scroll wheels sideways does nothing.

Model 3 OEM fog light beam pattern

Does anyone have a good picture showing the beam pattern of the OEM fog lights compared to the low beams? For example, a picture with just low beams showing the beam pattern on the ground (as a reference) and a 2nd picture with low beams and fogs? I've found this post that shows just the fogs...

    Mountain bikers

Sorry, not the best explanation. The rack itself is flexing and the bike is wobbling back and forth. Highway speeds only, significantly worse around 60-62mph and 72-75mph Basically this but turned 90° on a hitch rack: https://www.reddit.com/r/mountainbiking/s/abC05Id4fd

    Mountain bikers

Anyone else use a 1UP hitch rack? It wasn't a problem on any of my previous cars but with the Model 3 there's a significant and constant wobble at highway speeds (towards the front/rear of the car). I think it's caused by the rear end aerodynamics and is worse at very specific speeds when the...

Thanks, it's pretty great! Instant shifting, almost zero maintenance, and way more durable (I've snapped two derailleurs way out in the woods). I keep my bikes for a very long time so this should have a lower TCO than a traditional drivetrain. Feels kinda like EV vs ICE lol definitely never...

Mountain biking trailhead (also Oregon Cascades), definitely need mud flaps for gravel roads with these wider tires

Getting winter tires ready early before the seasonal rush. Turns out 1UP bike racks work pretty well when you need to carry 8 tires!

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

After going through most of the 300+ pages, I settled on SSR GTX01s. 19x9.5 +35 with 265/35R19 DWS06+ tires on a completely stock RWD. I don't have very many miles on them yet but, as expected, steering response and grip are much better. There is a bit more noise but I think it's mostly from the...

    Rallycross Model 3 Project.

Any pics of the actual suspension? The Flatout GR40 is usually heavy duty with an inverted shock, but I'm not sure how much of an advantage (if any) an inverted design has for non-McPherson stut suspension. Is the rear still a separate spring and shock like OEM or did they send a true...
