Basic 18" second set of wheels for winter tires on 2023 M3 RWD

I am looking to put winter tires and considering to get wheels as well as a second set for easy/free swaps each season. I already have the 235/45/18 X-ice tires. So I just need some basic 18" wheels. I am not looking to get anything fancy. If so, what should I buy that will not reduce my driving...

    Renting a Y from Hertz?

Getting a nice deal on Y for a week rental with a local hertz and planning to rent for a trip coming up in a few days. I am going to decline hertz offered insurance/coverage and will be using a credit card that offers primary insurance for rentals. I also don't have roadside assistance on my...

FAQ: Home Tesla charging infrastructure Q&A

Thank you for the quick response. Looks like these are not sold in hd/lowes stores locally as mentioned in the carcharging.us link I guess. Also, we probably only need like 4-6 feet. So is this or this a decent alternative? Edit - looks like the amazon link you posted is a wirenco product. So I...

FAQ: Home Tesla charging infrastructure Q&A

I assume OP used this 6/2 NM-B (or similar) which is not recommended with a wall connector and 60 amp breaker it looks like? Any recommendation on what should be used instead? Should it be a 4/2 or a 4/3 type wire? Something like this or may be this (cheaper but OOS)? I just want to make sure...

Master Thread: Definitive 14-50 NEMA Outlet Guide

Thanks again. Is an uninsulated ground NM-B 6/3 preferred over insulated ground SOOW 6/4? Or is it the other way? Or does it not matter much? Got it. I may not even plug/unplug weekly. Probably once a month or so on average. Yeah, seems like Tesla decided to not partner with RMP. So I guess I...

Right. I do see from previous posts that Leviton 14-50 is an absolute no-no. But Legrand Pass is slightly better than Leviton but significantly worser than Bryant. So probably not worth saving $30 I guess :)

Master Thread: Definitive 14-50 NEMA Outlet Guide

Thanks for the reply. True that 6/3 actually has 4 wires like you said (lowes link here). And 6/4 also has the same 4 wires (hd link here)? Are they essentially the same? And just a naming semantics? Thanks, will review the faceplate options. Still trying to wrap around the diameter required...

Master Thread: Definitive 14-50 NEMA Outlet Guide

Just purchased a M3 SR. First ever EV. I am going to ask my all-in-one guy to install a 14-50 receptacle in my garage. I am glad I somehow stumbled upon this thread. If not, I would have probably bought the cheap $10-$12 ones. This one (Legrand Pass & Seymour) even has "EV" on the item name but...
