I can't really hear a lot of engine noise at highway speeds in my Audis. The 3.0l engines are really refined. In a Q7 4M I had I couldn't hear it at all at highway speeds. For me it is more the noise from the tires getting into the cabin. I will test it tomorrow on two different road types...
