Same here, got a VIN assigned today, but might cancel the order. After having test driven X7 and Lexus LX recently the build quality in Model X feels awful till it has been improved recently.

I texted Tesla and they responded with a 10/06 build date.

The other luxury brands like BMW, MB do experience higher complaints regarding reliability issues with their engine, infotainment etc . The redesigned X7 has been plagued with drivetrain and brake booster issues.

Why are electric vehicles getting more discounts than ICE vehicles? Could it be that in the near future electric vehicles with better range will become available which will make the 2023 or older model years less desirable?

Isn't Tesla building new vehicles based on the order volume ? If Tesla had existing inventory why are the delivery dates months away from the order date ? I have an ultra-red MXP on order but hearing stories about Tesla build and quality makes me overthink about my decision.

Why has Tesla discounted the prices of its vehicles significantly where as other manufacturers like BMW, Mercedes etc. haven't followed suit ? Is it because of the perennial build quality issues and assuming Tesla prices were highly inflated in the past ?
