    P85D styling not distinctive enough?

and better suspension/handling. oh, and better brakes. oh, and better acceleration. oh, and better traction. oh, and higher top speed. oh, and Autopilot sensors. oh, and it's quieter. oh, and the seats are a lot better. oh, and it has more range. but yeah, other than that, it's the...

    P85D styling not distinctive enough?

+ 1,000 comparing it to a track car is a red herring anyway. it's not a track car and never pretended to be. if i wanted a track car, i'd buy a McLaren 650 or a 911 GT3. but i don't want a track car. i want a king of the ROAD. and that king, come December, will be the Tesla P85D. p.s. -...

S85, P85, or P85D -- How Fast Is Fast Enough?

this is a great point. i'd love it if andrewket would add two demographic columns to his P85D spreadsheet - age and sex. i'd wager that 96% are men, and the vast majority between 28-42 years of age. i.e. yes the P85D is an alpha-male projection of testosterone.

S85, P85, or P85D -- How Fast Is Fast Enough?

that's what i keep thinking about as well. a two-seater exotic of new NSX-like size/styling. 1,000hp and weighs 3,000lbs. will accelerate 0-60 in the time of most super motorcycles (2.0 seconds). will obliterate any gas hypercar of any price, for $180,000. unfortunately, the Model X, Model...

    Tracking P85D delivery thread

ironic you got a McLaren 12C, as many owners of that car were stunned when McLaren made a HUGE upgrade to it with the 650S just a few short years after the 12C's introduction. rings familiar...

S85, P85, or P85D -- How Fast Is Fast Enough?

when the Model S was first introduced/delivered a couple years ago, there were SO many discussions on this forum and tesla.com about whether the power of the P85 was worth it or necessary, over the regular 85. everyone made the (very valid) point that the S85 is already very quick, and the...

Is Autopilot that much better than Competitors?

not sure what this means. if your "narrow twisting alpine back road" is marked with center-dividing and shoulder lines, then yes it will steer itself just fine.

Is Autopilot that much better than Competitors?

no other car, that i know of, steers itself. it will correct you with Lane Keep Assist. but that's different. with Tesla's Autopilot, you'll be able to set cruise and it will steer itself down the road, no matter how curvy. that is not available from anyone else, tho correct me if i'm wrong.

Trading in P85+ for P85D...give me a nudge!

i wouldn't do it if i were you. a P85 maybe, but not a new +. no suspension/handling upgrade going from a + to a D. so that's $33k for a little better acceleration and autopilot sensors, most of which aren't even operational right now. before you heard about the D, did you ever consider your...
