This sounds like a great outcome... I'm thinking of putting in another service request on the wheel and just asking for a replacement at this stage

Up to a second delay yeah, enough to notice but I guess I am used to it. If I need to disengage more rapidly I will touch the brakes.

On a separate note, how bad are the rattles/squeeks you have for the service appt in July? My steering wheel has started again but its not much.. not really worth going for a specific service appointment yet.

I generally turn it off when approaching something like a roundabout to engage the full regen as it slows down. I guess it can use the actual brakes with TACC and that would explain the break pedal going in by itself.

Another thought, was your climate set to "auto" and if so, what fan speed do you use (low-med-high) ? I think "low" is ideal in winter, you shouldn't really feel the air coming out.

Further to what mes1 said, this thread (and associated video) helped me identify my rattle was coming from the mirror. Essentially using a tone generator app to generate a bass heavy tone that causes vibrations in the car and certain frequencies will trigger the rattles...

My service experience was overall quite good. The communcation via the app is brilliant, I had a phone call the day before to confirm everything. Upon arrival the tech went for a drive with me and I was able to show him the steering wheel noise to which he agreed was a simple fix. The other...

I refuse it use it around roadworks as well. Already had some times where it wants to take an exit and jerks the car towards it before noping out of that decision - it doesn't fill me with confidence it would handle poor lane markings

So I did some more driving on rough country roads this weekend and this second rattle became way more apparent. I've isolated the noise to coming from the rear view mirror assembly. It sounds like a metal clip or something, but it's a pretty horrible buzzing noise - worse than anything the...

Just booked my first Tesla service for Tuesday to get them to look at the steering wheel squeek. It's been reported on here before by others and it's finally starting to annoy me enough to do something. Seems to have progressively worsened since owning the vehicle. There's also another rattle I...

I'm visiting SA at the moment and borrowing a friend's ICE car... so far I have forgot to turn off the engine twice after parking, and once forgot to turn on the headlights (it was a well lit area and not really obvious my lights weren't on). I'm already so conditioned to everything being...

I've got one of those... might only be 1mm to 2mm in size. I don't know whether it's worth doing anything with it at this stage. I'm sure I'll get more and it would be easier to get them patched up all at once I would have thought.

I have both and my wh/km is like 125 average so I don't think we are talking anything significant. I'm confident enough air gets through the car, and like dronus said, I had only done 3000km and found cigarette butts in there too already.

Thanks for confirming, it does seem like no requests have been recorded for a week or so here. Would there be any issue calling the "Wake" command every 5 minutes? Not sure what the Tessie API rate limit is - and how often to ping the car to keep it awake. Sentry is certainly an option but...

What would be a good endpoint to call every X minutes to keep the car awake? For example while archiving sentry footage using TeslaUSB. I have tried the "state" endpoint with use_cache=false every 5 minutes and the car will fall asleep still using this.

The way the paint becomes a mirror again after a quick wash is extremely satisfying. I'm currently doing a weekly foam pressure wash, rinse and hand dry that takes maybe 30-45mins and I love the result. Although might drop to bi-weekly soon 😅

With more air in my tyres I can feel the road way more, on nice road its fine but when I cross onto "bumpy" unsmoothed surfaces I get this annoying rattle that sounds like its coming from the dashboard near the air vents. Over in Perth we have had a few cooler mornings this week and low and behold my tyre pressure warning has come on, although they're at 39 PSI all around. Ive got this setup - works very well, except often the car goes to sleep before its finished archiving.
