People want the new grey color. Why you’d pay so much extra for it I don’t know, but I’ve seen a few posts about getting an inventory 2024 on the new grey. So they’re paying at least 2K extra for that color, more if you’re in an area where they are deep discounting a few remaining 2023 Ys.

Exactly, you are assigned a vin, the vin you chose to reserve for $250. You would have to get Tesla to move your reservation to another vin and why would they move you to a 2024 inventory unit? The entire point of the discounts is to sell you a 2023 vin.

Kind of sad the midnight silver is gone since the stealth grey looks too close to black IMO. I liked that the silver was more in between the white and black and was actually just a grey color, not “silver”.

Once you set everything up is it seamless whenever you enter the vehicle? If I got this I'd be using carplay for most things like spotify or google maps so I'd always want it connected, but with other vehicle bluetooth devices I've used I'd have to reconnect constantly.

Yeah even with the dimming off now I don’t find the mirrors to give great visibility. I get there are cameras, but they’re not as clear as a good mirror.

Tesla hasn’t said anything about the Y and it’s only a few outlets/blogs reporting the Y will lose it. If they knew it was going to lose the credit they’d be using it as a sales tactic to clear our inventory. Instead they’re discounting the Y more than the 3, which is losing its credit.

We switched to Fremont vin as it was cheaper. Paint is perfect, only issues are a couple wide panel gaps and condensation inside one headlight. All in all seems like an above average build compared to a lot of the gap photos I’ve seen where people comment that they look pretty good.

What are some other comparable dash screens like the F68? I think that’s the one I want, but it’s not ideal. Still blocks the AC vent, but the new version doesn’t require the center console to be taken apart.

No there are a lot of inventory cars still and what whoever I talked to at Tesla meant by “in transit” vehicles are all still 2023 vins.

Messaged on WhatsApp. They respond immediately if it’s a sales question vs support LoL! They said they only have the new version of the F68 so you’ll get the new cord and only the F68 currently has this new design not the other screen(s) they have.

If I had the buttons already might not be interested, but it’s not much more than a set of buttons and I think the knob is exactly what we want for volume and temp control. Im assuming the other buttons on it can be assigned for like glove box, wipers, trunk, etc which would be really handy.

I was looking at the s3xy buttons, but not thinking of preordering the s3xy knob instead. That looks more functional and integrated into the car.

You should not be able to claim tax credits that go beyond what your tax liability is. Otherwise this just becomes a tax payer funded rebate on those cases.

POS is a nice benefit vs waiting months for your tax return. Also apparently even if you don’t have 7.5k in tax liability, but are under the income limit you can get the POS credit next year. Seems unfair right that no tax liability can still get it, but from what I read that’s true.

I know, but it seems like something only a Tesla owner on here might know. The site says “To be eligible to receive referral credits, you must have a qualifying Tesla product in your Tesla Account.” Which I do, but it’s a reservation with a pickup date. I haven’t purchased it yet.

This would be a catastrophic PR disaster if it happened so I cannot fathom them dropping the ball like this. The potential lawsuits would be insane. Look how the media treated the recent software "recall". Tesla has to know they will be torn a new one if thousands of customers lose out on $7,500.

I've put on tons of protectors, but large tablet/laptop ones are always tricky because the potential for dust and bubbles is so much higher with a greater surface area.
