For those trying to create an ext4 partition using Ubuntu, it seems that disabling the orphan_file feature is required for Tesla to not complain that the drive is corrupted and unraedable. Example: sudo mkfs.ext4 -O ^orphan_file /dev/sda1

For those using Ubuntu and having a hard time getting it to work, you'll have to format the ext4 partition disabling the orphan_file feature. Example: sudo mkfs.ext4 -O ^orphan_file /dev/sda1
