    [UK] 2024.14.x

Here we go, 2024.14.6 installing on my 2021 M3 with Intel Atom. Just lowering expectations, but quietly hoping that being on V12 stack will mean improved autopilot and FSD experiences are in the pipeline.

    Whistle from Rear

Not the break pad wear squealer? Seriously there is wear indicator that is simply spring steel that makes a noise high pitched noise when rear pads are getting low

    [UK] 2024.14.x

For those already seeing this update on their cars, can you advise what your car updated from, eg 2024.8.9 ? Just wondering if there’s a pattern to the roll out. (Also exercising my superpower alter ego ‘Impatience Man’)

    Thetford

Searching for charging in the Tesla app shows Thetford available again, has anyone been so that this might be confirmed? The 3rd party Tesla supercharger map website still reports as closed…

    [UK] 2024.14.x

It’s been ages since I got the .8 update, got a trip from Norfolk back to Orkney on Friday, would love to have 2024.14.x install before then so can give it big trip to test it on. While I’m in Orkney, not sure I’ll be need WiFi enough to secure the update before the trip back to Norfolk 10 days...

    [UK] Spring Software Update

You missed out the run up the coast to F(H)unstanton, if anywhere needs self drive it’s there during the summer months - slow speeds in queues with stop starts will make an ideal test bed 😜

    Model S (2019) vs Model 3 (2021)

“3 sized car with hatchback would be the perfect car IMO” - this exactly. Assuming a budget, in the mean time enjoy driving an M3 with grins and buzzes with minimalist neat cabin or chose a transitional vehicle with buttons and switches but acceleration and comfort and hatchback storage with...

What were you driving at the start of the '10s.....

2003 Rover 75 Tourer, with BMW chain drive CAM engine automatic with white leather interior. Bought used at 59k, took it to 238k miles before COVID got it - worked from home the 75 was parked next to grass bank, the lack of use meant sills went all down the grass bank side due to damp. Got...

    Home charging

So if you are doing the average UK commute of less than 40 miles per day you might well be fine charging via 13 amp ‘granny’ charger. You’ll probably easily cover the 45-50% to 80% for daily driving (if you’re doing the UK average).

Adding 2nd Hand Tesla To App?

Had mine working really quickly, driver’s license and receipt for sale from dealer uploaded in the Tesla app, think was less than 48 hours later and all was good in UK

    [UK] 2024.8.x

Wonder if that was why I couldn’t get charge port disconnecte Hum, wonder if that contributed to my frustrating attempts to disconnect charge port this morning. Think it wouldn’t unlock charge port until car was unlocked (actually unlocked boot to try manual release but then released before had...

    UK FSD Discussion

Ah, apologies; “for all” was perhaps a bit generous - for all with later hardware revisions may well be much more accurate. I’m new to Tesla but learning that there are some distinct hardware categories, so that some loyal and early adopters may well feel justifiably neglected and duped…

    UK FSD Discussion

So I heard today via a relatively reliable source that a months FSD is coming to us all in the UK in the not too distant future. The approach I would speculate is two pronged. 1) Tesla get an opportunity to gather huge chunk of driving data for the neural net models developed and apparently...

    [UK] 2024.8.x

So had a brief nighttime drive and did manage to see the matrix dimming in action. Seems to work as described and so far know flashed complaints- longer testing required to make confident statements about the feature though. Do prefer the new menu layouts with WiFi and Bluetooth added. Clearly...

    [UK] 2024.8.x

Noticed yesterday that the check for software update sat at the “checking for” prompt for ages last night which suggested to me the update would be available imminently, sure enough I’ve checked the app this morning and the 2024.8.7 is available. Remotely installing it now. Might have an...

    [UK] 2024.8.x

I love my new to me Model 3, but I remain disappointed by poorly performing auto wipers and the nighttime repeater glare from indicator blind spot cameras. Guess I’ll have to spend a bit to fix the camera issues, but my 2003 rover 75 tourer had the rain detection nailed. Is this all about camera...
