Pay no attention to the EDD. People’s EDDs bear no relation to when they get their VINs. It looks like Tesla are making these cars in batches. So when you see your same order being delivered, it means yours is just around the corner. That’s how I see things unfolding.

I got my VIN 3 weeks before the start of my last EDD. Then about a week later I got a delivery window that I could pick that was a week later and also before the start of the last EDD. I’m scheduled to pick up May 5

Couldn’t agree more. It’s astounding. They also don’t advertise and the Y is the best selling car in the world. All that without one ad. The cars speak for themselves and all you have to do is drive one and you’re sold. Then it’s just working through the all the admin stuff to actually get one.

I was listening to the call too. It was all about the future. With only a faint nod to saying ramp up issues for the highland in Fremont. No details are all. The first quarter call said nothing about the first quarter. Only that the second quarter will be better.

That’s crazy. These dates have to be a mistake.

To me it seems like the EDD is spinning like a roulette wheel with no rhyme or reason. Hang in there. It hasn’t stopped spinning.

The more I see here the more I’m convinced the EDD is completely disconnected with the production schedule. One would hope that the system doing the EDD would be connected to the production group but that doesn’t seem to be the case.
