This isn't a resolution to your question but I did learn that you can plan out a trip then use the "share" button on your phone to send it to the car. I do this with google maps. If it's far enough, it should populate charging spots along the way.

This happened to me today. The car was in the right lane and nav showed the right turn onto the freeway but didn't take it. It was too late for me to turn so I had to turn disengage FSD and just drive on my own.
