2018 MX Center console usb port replacement

I just did this. The previous owner spilt what looked like cottage cheese in the port this blew the hub. Even after clearing out the port and swopping them out with the rear ones the hub was blown on those two ports. This meant the car did not recognise any USB stick or any 12v supply to the...

3rd row seat belts. 2017 MX 6 seater

I like to fumble my way through by trial and error. Never been a manual reader. Nice big pictures or a video to follow, you'll have my attention then. :-)

3rd row seat belts. 2017 MX 6 seater

Nope. I was only faffing with the 2nd row seats and noticed the rear seat belt, whilst working, was back to front. Though, since you mention it, I have now. It does appear you need a rivet gun...

3rd row seat belts. 2017 MX 6 seater

These are impossible to fix without a rivet puller and rivet gun, it would appear. I could be mistaken, but could not find any info online on how to do it. Tried to untwist the seatbelt and could see someone had clearly made a hash of it. The back panels are held in by two pop studs slid upward...

    2nd row seatbelts

Final batch of photos. All told, took me about 20 minutes of labour, and about 10 minutes of faffing.

    2nd row seatbelts

It does also appear that my seat are possibly wired for heating and cooling. Must work out how to sort this.

    2nd row seatbelts

As I had some spare time this morning I decided to strip the back panel off the 2nd row seats, detached the seat control cable, and untwist both seats seatbelts. Clean them, and give them a bit of silicone spray, for good measure. It's actually surprising easy to do, and only one metal clip...

    2nd row seatbelts

2017 MX 75d 6 seater 2nd row seatbelts are slow to retract. They are actually very dirty. Did make a big difference with some silicone spray. However they are dirty, so I plan to clean them. I have a hand held steamer and upholstery vacuum. Does anyone foresee an issue cleaning the seatbelts...

Premium connectivity got much worse signal

Had issues with LTE. Found a strange box blocking the sliding door of the centre console. It was the LTE amplifier. It had Velcro stuck to it and is supposed to be attached to the underside of the dash but had fallen down. When it was outside of the cubby it had better signal strength. Now I am...

    Did you ever find out?

Bedfordshire to Inverness in a 75d.

My wife and I purchased a MX 75d. We've never had a Tesla before but I've done as much research as possible. Tesla is doing a wheel alignment, and a couple of minor adjustments to the Falcon Wing Doors, and a couple of minor software tweaks. I am due to drive back on Tuesday to Inverness from...

Something blocking the centre console door - What is it?

So I decided to unplug it. And immediately my LTE signal disappeared. It appears to be an amplifier for the premium connectivity. I wonder where it's supposed to go as it appears to be unstuck from whatever position it was in. This may explain the poor signal I'm getting from the car.

Something blocking the centre console door - What is it?

I did. Hmmm. Should this be removed?

Something blocking the centre console door - What is it?

My sliding door to the front centre console stopped opening fully. Pulled out the cubby underneath the screen, and saw a cable with a box attached with a green light on it. I currently have shoved it behind the metal frame to the cubby. Only issue I am now having is my telematics is not giving...

Soft close in centre console draw no longer working

The sliding door of mine was not opening fully. I pulled out the cubby underneath the screen to find a couple of cables, one was hanging down, blocking the opening of the door. Pushed it back up and presto. All working.
