After purchase when can I start using the Tesla charging network

I did provide the VIN as well🤷‍♂️ Anyway, a week is up today so fingers crossed for what the postie brings! Update: V5 arrived!! Now just have to wait 3-5 days for Tesla to review it.

After purchase when can I start using the Tesla charging network

I have a new (to me Tesla) and have provided proof of ownership, ID, and ref number from the Green Slip and they won't let me take ownership. Am waiting for the v5. Found I can supercharge (genuinely thought I had linked my card to the vehicle!) but will obviously only do it in dire emergency...

After purchase when can I start using the Tesla charging network

Don't know the ethics of this, but if you had used a Tesla SC it would have charged to whoever had registered the card - which might push them to relinquish the vehicle.

Buying a Model 3 prioritise age or mileage?

Hey all, Am really enjoying this thread and learning from it! As the OP, I feel like I should pop up here again and say thanks for all the advice/help! I just took delivery of a 2021 Model 3 LR and I absolutely love it! It only as circa 16k miles on it - so the whole calendar age vs mileage...

Buying a Model 3 prioritise age or mileage?

@FatFalcon @SGPips I guess I do keep cars a long time. Watching youtube comparisons, the intel Atom seems fine for navigation and settings, but not great for netflix/youtube/browsing. Whereas Ryzen does the lot smoothly (with a small but noticeable loss of range?) Does that chime with you? My...

How worried should I be about buy a higher mileage M3 LR (70k+)

Thanks, but in that thread didn't really deal with higher mileage. When I wrote that I was assuming I would be able to buy a Model 3 that still had at least some basic warranty left. I guess what I am trying to figure out is if I'm likely to face big bills on non-batttery/drivetrain components...

How worried should I be about buy a higher mileage M3 LR (70k+)

Am buying my first Tesla (Model 3 LR) and the bulk of cars I am seeing in my budget are rather higher mileage than I would like - a lot are 70k+ miles. I have seen the stories of cars making astronomical miles but am wondering if those are the exception, with the norm being a lot of big bills...

Buying a Model 3 prioritise age or mileage?

All great food for thought! I must admit, I had assumed heat pump was just better full stop. Hadn't thought about repair costs. I think ultimately it will come down to availability of a good quality car in my area. Loads on the market, but not that many within striking distance of me...

Buying a Model 3 prioritise age or mileage?

Thanks! And as I understand it battery and drivetrain (Not sure what exactly is included in drivetrain) is 8 years or 120k miles on a M3 LR - will have plenty of that warranty. I guess a mid 2021 car with less than 40k miles will likely give me a full year of warranty as I won't do 10k miles...

Buying a Model 3 prioritise age or mileage?

Hi I'm thinking of buying a used model 3 but can't decide which year and mileage to go for. As I understand it, 2018-20 had chrome and no heat pump, both of which put me off, so am thinking 2021 (or late 2020 refresh) onwards. Also, as far as I can tell, the most noticeable difference between a...

    Model S (2019) vs Model 3 (2021)

Really great answers and insights here! Thanks to all! Have decided this week to visit a dealer that has S and 3 and drive them and see. But right now erring towards a newer 3 but we will see.

    Model S (2019) vs Model 3 (2021)

Thanks @boombap, @Jason71, @as400 and @andyorkney Does seem like the Raven is an amazing car but am also afraid of spiralling costs if things go wrong. Guess I need to do research on warranties and see if i can find some examples to drive - decisions decisions. In a way, head says Model 3 but...

    Model S (2019) vs Model 3 (2021)

Hi I’m looking to buy a Tesla as my first electric car. Am thinking Model 3 or Model S. Browsing adverts, I see that a decent 2021 M3LR with about 30-40k miles on the clock can be had for £24-6k now and a reasonable Raven Model S 2019 with 50-60k thousand miles can be had for just shy of 30...
