Reason #37 why I did NOT purchase FSD for a 4th time on my ‘21 S Refresh

Don’t do it. 11.X is pure garbage

And that is so far away that a purchase that doesn’t allow transfer to new purchase makes NO sense!

Kinda expected we would start waning off some of the bells and whistles with the older, 2017 in our case, MCU2 HW3 Model X’s (guessing S’ too) when we didn’t get the remote viewing of cameras in the app many updates ago. Slowly but surely we’ll be left behind….

They should have time to add the bumper camera and interior light strips …..so there is always that to look forward to.

Notateslaapp still shows almost 1/2 of their reporting fleet is on 2024,8.X. When are we getting the love Tesla?

I would appreciate it but still wouldn’t pay $250 a month for it 🤷🏻‍♂️

I think the poster was saying “There is no way to enable TACC alone.” That you can not enable JUST cruise control with no auto steering. There are times I would want to just use plain old cruise control as well.

I have enjoyed good’ole tried true AutoPilot so much on my 2021 S that I may not do it either after trying out V12.X. I have been able to cover my interior camera with electrical tape and not be nagged every time I look at the MCU. I would actually pay $99 a month for none of those nags 😂🤣

Could NOT be happier that I didn’t fall for a 4th time on my 2021 S. Rented it at $199 for maybe ~15 months and cancelled it. After I finally get blessed with a one month trial on 2024.8.9 I’ll see if it’s worth $99 to me 🤷🏻‍♂️

Purchase hasn’t changed tho. Who would ever pay $12k vs $99 a month!! Still waiting on my free month on my 2021 Refresh S stuck on 2024.8.9

Our2017 X75D did get FSD V12.3.4 last night. Some of the OG fleet is being "blessed" now LOL

We have had & have 5 Teslas. More than 400K miles cumulative and less than 1% charge used on the SuperCharger network. Not a benefit to a lot of people. Our ‘17 X has FUSC & FSD. Still holding out to use it in the Robotaxi network to make bank 💰 🤣😂🤣😂

I did everything except the new housing sock / weather stripping etc etc and still have the old shoe funk smell when it rains or after a car wash

We have owned 5Tesla's since 2015. If I had $1 for every time Elon has "promised" something or made a statement and actually held accountable for it I could take my family of 4 out to Five Guys Burgers tonight for an all-U-can eat burger fest!!

My OG 2021 Refresh / IPhone 13 Pro Max / 15 Pro Max have never failed me and has always worked well

We bought FSD outright on 3 of our 5 Teslas. Did NOT on my 2021 Model S since there was never an "upgrade path"when I purchased it in 2021. Either Tesla should give FSD to those that have purchased every version for a Model S ever made 😂 or allow transfer perpetually to same owners.

My 2021 1st edition Refresh S "says" I have it with 2024.8.7. After the install my phone had a pop up to enable it so I did. Here is what is under Privacy & Security / Nearby Interactions

Meaning completely unusable with any traffic around

As a check point our 2017 X 75D has FUSC and lifetime premium connectivity. Came with both at purchase I would also get it in writing including buyback and attorney fees as there are definitely anecdotal stories both ways about resales and FUSC being removed.

Those very cars are the only ones that Tesla actually “OWES” true unattended FSD to as well. The purchased feature set was worded way different for those cars and may be refunded at some point or continued to be offered free FSD transfer to get rid of them from the books.

Our ‘17 Model X got updated to the 2024.X.X FSD beta 11.X branch so I won’t be able to try 12.3.X version until they do a full on “catch up” for all of those cars. I won’t re-enroll in to the monthly subscription until I see some MAJOR improvements. Until then regular’ol AutiPilot is so much...

Could NOT be more happy that I did NOT bite and buy FSD for the 4th time on my 2021 Refresh S with 85.400 miles on it now!! For us daily highway HOV road warriors, AutoPilot is orders of magnitude better than FSD B.
