https://cleantechnica.com/2024/04/12/teslas-for-india-at-last/ RHD cars to be made in Germany. Initially, Model Y only. Maybe a Model S one day? The Indians deserve one! (and then maybe us, too...)

Car Network connectivity solutions 2G-3G-4G-5G - Australia

Is this when you drive away from home and the car changes from WiFi to 4G? I had the same prob in my old S and found that having wifi off for a minute when leaving made the transition / acquisition of broadband much faster

I think probably not, as it is not a volume seller. But I wish they would- it would fix the door, handle and hatch problems, but maybe not worth their retooling costs. I suspect Taycan is nicely built, and the new one looks like it has fixed ALL the issues with the old. Just need to pony up a...

Thanks. I think inconel is extremely difficult to work, and combining it with ceramic must be a trek. So 250K sounds almost aspirational to me. SpaceX continues to change the face of launches to space....

    SpaceX F9 - IM-1 Nova-C Lander - LC-39A - Includes Post Launch Discussion

Yellow zip tie is an interesting choice! Is it a structural member ie is it the bit that pulls out the bit you have to Remove Before Flight? Seems a little on the fragile side GREAT photo, btw!

    SpaceX F9 - Starlink Group 6-39 - SLC-40

No, I saw no such thing, but having just seen some F-22 videos, it suddenly made me think: why don't we see them on booster reentry?
  27. I

    SpaceX F9 - Starlink Group 6-39 - SLC-40

Bullseye! Great video all the way down :) Does anyone remember seeing a vapour cone via the booster camera view during any of the reentries we have watched? I know we hear a sonic boom sometimes but it seems to go unnoticed on the booster itself- no extra rocking or anything?

Great question, and there is no great answer. Porsche looks fab, but the prices are utterly insane. Double the price of my Model S.

SpaceX Starship - Integrated Flight Test #2 - Starbase TX - Including Post Launch Dissection

iIt was this phrase that had me confused. Gotcha , @mongo and @ JB47394: The pressure doesn't stop the slosh, but it drives whatever propellant overlies the tank exits THROUGH them to the engines. And pretty fast, apparently!

SpaceX Starship - Integrated Flight Test #2 - Starbase TX - Including Post Launch Dissection

Does high gas-phase hydrostatic pressure do ANYTHING to keep liquids still? [I am assuming that this is a gad phase above a liquid phase, not separate containers era, a distensible bladder, oroother mechanism} I would have thought water sloshing at 1 atm will still slush at 5 atm? What am I missing?

    SpaceX F9 - IM-1 Nova-C Lander - LC-39A - Includes Post Launch Discussion

Great coverage 1. were they new cameras? Seems brighter / sharper / more colourful to me 2. wow-scene at almost exactly 1 hour into the NSF coverage: the initial decel burn of the booster stops while on-camera (ground view) and you get a sense of just how insanely fast it is travelling even...

    Porsche Macan EV

The one-speed gearbox is an interesting change. Some have argued that the Taycan's two-speed is a major advantage, now we see that in truth it's more appropriate to pick horses for courses Price in Australia is surprisingly good- but we don't know exactly what trim levels / extras are on it.

Stalks Revised yoke Radar Front camera New hinges 4/5 of these would next a large increase in Tesla sales, I reckon. Anyone who owns an old Tesla would become interested in a new one, and any Tesla neophytes walking in off the street would find the test drive far more to their liking.
